    Hambrick Animal Clinic

    Hambrick Animal Clinic

92 Lb, 8 Y.O. Female Mix Breed Dog…read more TLDR: The workers here absolutely love animals. Weighing process was simple and not stressful for my dog. Exam room was nice, aside from dog hair from a previous client, showing that it wasn't cleaned between visits. Dr. Hambrick did all she could to make my dog comfortable & explained everything to me before doing it and any options I may have. In the lobby, our helper for the visit, Alyssa went over all charges & made sure I knew what I was being charged for and went over all the meds and their prices before charging me anything. She even helped me to my car, as I was injured. Overall, great experience. --------------------------------- I don't think I've ever left a review before, but I noticed that this one had two reviews and only one star. I realize some people only leave reviews when they're angry, so I wanted to share my experience. I went to the animal clinic with my dog about 2 weeks after moving to Tullahoma, so she's an elderly dog and we've had many vets before. The workers here absolutely love animals. Sometimes they would even come out to the lobby just still have all the pets that were waiting. That being said, nobody really waited very long. They weighed my dog with the scale in the lobby. My dog normally hates walking onto the scale, but this one was on the floor and really wasn't much of a transition. So, she walked right on it and we got her weight. Next we went to the exam room. I will say that the exam room had dog hair from a previous dog. So, it had not been cleaned thoroughly between guests. Aside from that the exam room was very clean. I wanted to dock a star from this, but this clinic deserves a better rating than they have, so I changed it back to 5 star. There was a high table for smaller animals, but I have a large dog- other vets have made her get on the table, but Dr. Hambrick got *on her knees on the floor* to examine my dog to make her more comfortable instead of having to get up on the counter. Before the doc did anything, she would explain to me what she was doing. She let me hold my dog if my dog was uncomfortable (some vets don't want owners involved at all). Alyssa was assisting her (and me) and they both fully explained my options: Doc and Alyssa fully explained options, prices and let me decide my preventative meds (heartwarming and flea), blood test options (full panel or just heart worm test) and optional vaccinations and they fully explained options for arthritis medications. They did all of this without pushing me toward the expensive options. They just explained what they had and they answered all questions I had without being impatient (and clearly I can talk a lot). At the end, Alyssa came out and went over the bill to make sure I understood all of the charges and went over the medications and preventatives I got. Again, she loved on my dog in the lobby; they really love the animals that come. I felt the entire time that my dog was comfortable and not stressed, just from them being so calm and obviously caring for the animals and not just trying to rush through to get to the next animal. They helped me and my dog to my car (I was on crutches) and were nothing but kind and helpful the entire time.

Then she gave my puppy a penicillin shot and something for vomiting. Nearly 90 dollars in and my puppy was diagnosed with maybe a virus.
