I applied here for a job which was posted on Indeed. The person I was in contact with responded…read morequickly and gave me a day that would work for an "interview". When I arrived, I was led into the back by who I assume was one of the two owners. I was never really introduced to either person, neither did they ask anything about me other than my name. I was pointed toward the bath area and told to ask the woman there what to do. This woman completely ignored me and I was never introduced to her. The bathing area for the dogs is, in my opinion, not pet friendly. The bath-tub is rusted and dogs are dried with an industrial sized dryer, typically used in workshops. All dogs are kept in a separate room full of kennels once they are bathed. The dogs have more industrial dryers pointed directly into their kennels and are left alone in the room. The dogs I observed were left shaking and curled up in their kennels while the dryers were left blowing at them. I stayed for a few hours washing dogs for them during my "interview". They advertised a hourly rate on their indeed page for the interview but I was not payed according to it. At some point during the afternoon, I was told "goodbye, thats all!" and the person training me just walked away. I havent heard back from them at all, not even a confirmation or declining of the job offer. They never asked any information of me to prove I was who I said I was or even how old I was. I'm not sure if their job post was a scam or if they didnt want me, but they could at least have the decency to contact me either way. I guess the point of this review is that the business doesnt seem very professional at all. Its dirty, not particularly pet friendly, and not professional in their hiring and training process (probably not customer service either). I would just be careful taking your dogs here

I want to address and issue that we had with our dogs back in January and just recently this past…read moreweek. In short when we boarded our dogs in January they both came down with Kennel cough and Ranger came back with a limp and still has that no one can tell me how that happened when I called. Pet Paradise did refund some of our money, gave us free nail trims because we were charged for them and they were never done and did discount a vet appointment for us. I do appreciate that but we should not have had to pay for the vet visit or their medication because our dogs came down with kennel cough. After the were over the kennel cough we brought them in to have their nails done and they did not due Ranger's back feet because they said he was biting. We have never had this problem ever when we have brought them to you or any other vet. or groomer. The guy groomer you have is great and he has never said anything about Ranger, no has for that matter. I believe the girl who was there that day just did not want to fool with him. The groomer there that day was a girl. Fast forward to this past weekend. I wanted to bring my dogs in for a nail trim like we always have. I was told that 2 of their vaccines had expired and we could not bring them because of that they could not be taken back or could not even come into the lobby. I respect the rules, but my dogs were allowed to contract kennel cough while they were there. This was Gunnar's second time catching kennel cough. My husband got involved and we were refunded our money for our last stay which I appreciate, what I DO NOT appreciate is us being told that Ranger could not come back until he was trained. Our dog is trained, he has stayed there a couple times and did the Meet the Family and there is absolutely NOTHING, I mean NOTHING on his report card or any other time indicating he was not trained. I really take offense to this statement. My husband even told whomever he spoke with, well you have things back there to keep from biting if you think he is. We have always been pleased with Pet Paradise until these past 2 times. I will never bring my dogs there again for the mere fact that now I do not believe they will be taken care of from the issues that we have had. I do not trust Pet Paradise and I will not be referring anyone else to your establishment. If someone would have responded to my email back in February, this could have all be resolved. I will be giving a bad review just so you know. My fur babies are just that, my babies and they will not be treated disrespectfully or for us to be told that Ranger bites which HE DOES NOT! And I know that I will not get a response here either.
