I paid around $800 total for the procedure and care. After surgery, I was informed that it went well and that she would likely be able to come home once she started eating again. Unfortunately, she later passed away. What made this experience even more heartbreaking was the communication. I only received one phone call, which I unfortunately missed, i wasn't able to say goodbye to my dog. It was devastating knowing she spent her final moments alone in a cage surrounded by barking dogs. I understand complications can happen, but I truly feel the seriousness of her condition was not clearly communicated to me after the bloodwork and surgery. The long wait times and lack of follow-up communication made an already painful situation even harder. I brought her in because I trusted she would receive the care and attention she needed, and I left feeling heartbroken.

I hate to leave my dog anywhere and I have cancelled trips to stay with Rettung. But, I believe Rettung likes to go here more than he likes being with me! This place has it ALL! This is an actual RESORT for pets! They have beautiful rooms, awesome beds, TVs(yes, TVs!), SWIMMING POOL, and plenty of activities for the pets/FAMILY! They constantly place pictures on Facebook. They have veterinarians close by and the pets are SECURE. The whole complex is IMMACULATELY clean! I know business is about making money, but I do not get that "feeling" here. The staff really does appear to love their jobs and the pets. I have YET to pick Rettung up one time when he wasn't clean and looking great. When Monkey passed away, the staff supported me with professionalism and genuine kindness. They assisted with every detail, making an overwhelmingly painful experience as gentle and manageable as possible. I am deeply grateful for their compassion and the loving way in which each staff member treated both Monkey and me. It is rare to encounter such heartfelt care in a veterinary setting. Not a vet tech and not ever again will I allow vaccinations and treatments to be administered in the back while I wait in the lobby and am told I can check out. Also of note, when I entered I stated I needed my dog needs an annual rabies shot and 2 months of nexgaurd plus. I was not told until after checking out that they were out of the dose needed and was offered other brands. They ended up finding 1 but still. Today was not at all what represented any vet visit I have ever had with any of my pets in the past 33 years of having them. If this is normal,We will have to find a new vet.

They never leave hungry or thirsty and they sleep so well from the play time they receive while at Red River Pet Resort. We have a grand champion bully that has been there multiple times and she gets excited when we pull up and walks in like she owns the place. On top of our dog(s) being happy, me and my husband are happy with their customer service as well, I always get a quick response when I communicate with the owner which is refreshing.
