Pets at Home is the new pet superstore on the Fairacres retail park. As such, it's huge - and has the added benefit of a large, free car park. They stock pretty much everything you could think of that's pet related - including some small animals like rabbits and guinea pigs. They also do fish and aquariums. It's a nice enough shop, but I prefer the personal touch in Seeny's in the town centre, and the traffic around the Fairacres end of town is often awful so it's not somewhere you can go in a hurry. read more

Very friendly guys & girls instore .... and they always ask - "did you find everything you were looking for". Free parking and a spacious store make for a very decent shopping experience. It's obviously a pet-superstore and so in essence lacks the 'personal touch' but the range of stock & competitive pricing makes up for that. read more

I often pop into Pets at Home if I am at the Fairacres retail park visiting Argos, homebase or one of the other stores there. Pets at home is situated next to Contact electrical, and is a fairly big branch. They sell a huge array of animal food, accessories, hutches and cages, health care items etc. And of course they also sell a wide variety of small animals, from rabbits and guinea pigs to tiny little crabs! They seem to be quite a responsible animal seller and do ask questions etc before selling you a pet. They also have an adoption centre where they rehome small animals people no longer want as well as display posters for larger animals such as dogs and cats. Its a nice shop, well planned out and easy to find what you want, although the staff are very helpful if you cant! read more
