Eye doctor appointment. The Care Quality is always great and they make sure my eyes are always good.read more

This a review of my visit on 6/9/26. When the physician entered the exam room, she remained…read morestanding in the doorway and asked the reason for my visit. I explained that I was there for my annual physical and also wanted to discuss my excessive weight gain. Before entering the room, she asked if I was sure I was not pregnant. This conversation occurred while she was standing in the doorway, which raised concerns for me regarding privacy and confidentiality. The physician then stated that she would provide a referral to a weight loss doctor and left the room. After approximately 15 minutes, she returned briefly. I informed her that I would also like routine blood work as part of my annual evaluation. She responded that I had blood work completed the previous month. I explained that those labs were obtained during an Emergency Room visit for a strep infection and did not include a comprehensive evaluation or any hormone-related testing. While reviewing my patient portal, I noticed a referral letter had already been generated for an endocrinologist. When I asked whether the endocrinologist was the weight loss specialist, the physician replied yes and instructed me to make an appointment. The interaction ended with her telling me to "hurry up because it's time for us to leave." As a Registered Nurse with more than 20 years of experience in hospitals, clinics, home care, and telehealth settings, I understand the demands of healthcare. However, I have always believed that every patient deserves to feel heard, respected, and valued regardless of scheduling constraints or the time of day. At no point during this visit did I feel that my concerns were appropriately addressed. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling rushed, dismissed, and dissatisfied with the quality of care provided. I previously had a negative experience at your Nostrand location but chose to return for my annual physical. Regrettably, this visit reinforced my concerns, and I do not plan to return to your practice or recommend it to others. In an effort to address my concerns directly with the practice, I called and spoke with a Nurse Manager following my appointment. During that conversation, I was informed that a Director would contact me to discuss the situation. However, it has now been two days, and I have not received a call or any follow-up communication. The lack of response further reinforces my impression that patient concerns are not being taken seriously. As a patient, I expected my complaint to be acknowledged and addressed in a timely manner. Instead, I feel that my experience and concerns have been disregarded. At this point, I no longer have confidence in the level of patient care or customer service provided by this facility. Since my concerns have not been addressed despite my attempts to resolve them through the appropriate channels, I will be sharing my experience through patient reviews and seeking medical care elsewhere. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used as an opportunity to improve the patient experience and quality of care provided.
