Had a great visit thanks to the janitor John that cleans your showers . He paid for my mother's lighter she was trying to buy with change she had in her coin purse. Made sure the restrooms in the shopping center were really clean was really impressed and pleased. Our visit at a truck stop could not be any better than it was today. This person was really kind and we can tell he has the most thought in his profession we could not believe this guy was not in some lead position working at this truck stop . I must have been driving for nearly 14 hours that day. So when I got out at the Petro station I tripped, and my arms completely full of trash went flyin all over the ground. This employee working there named John Bilick was the greatest! I expected him to yell at me for making a mess, but instead he came right over and helped me get everything off the ground into the waste basket. I-80 in the wintertime can be iffy. With Elk Mountain to the West, and the highest point on I-80 to the East past Laramie looming you need to be prepared for the worst weather imaginable. WYDOT will shut the gates across the Interstate quite often and if you're low on gas this is not good. I avoid that drama by stopping here and topping off or filling up an extra tank or three. It's relatively easy to get in and out of, well plowed when the snow flies, and inside the service over the years continues to be friendly and fast. Fast is important when you're trying to beat WYDOT closing those gates. This Petro is also where I buy my gas for back country fun if I'm going up into the Snowy Range and am not going to the Saratoga side. All in all, it's a clean, pleasant place to take a break from I-80 in and to get plenty of gas. read more

We stopped here because of some engine trouble. Only meaning to use the ladies restroom, I immediately called my husband in because the atmosphere was so warm and inviting. The salad bar had an extremely large and fresh selection. The soup was especially good. Service was fast and friendly. I would have given 5 stars had the desserts been a bit better. Very clean and quite truck stop. Bathrooms are well maintained and shelves are pretty full. Prices are high like any other truck stop but the gas is very cheap. Ample amount of parking space for large and big. I would rate it slightly above average truck stop. read more

My husband drives truck and had his trailer repaired here. They charged double of what others charge. My husband talked to the guy who came in and did the repair and he told him what he charges. This Petro DOUBLED that charge and said they charge an upcharge. DOUBLE?? The whole bill was a lot more than what other places have charged us for these repairs. The funny part was when my husband talked to the shop after he talked to the repair guy that came in to fix the axle, he told them how he was happy the price wasn't as high as they quoted him. Then when it was all said and done the bill was HIGHER not lower than what they quoted him. So the price kept going up and up, even after my husband knew the price was cheaper than they first quoted. We have done a lot of business with TA and Petro but we won't go here again. An axle job that should have been $2800 ended up being $4700. read more
