DO NOT BUY - KEEP YOUR MONEY IN YOUR POCKET OR SPEND WERE THEY HAVE A GOOD RETURNS POLICY, AS THIS ONE STINKS. They have appalling and disgusting customer service, the so called Manager Chris, tried to make out that I was a bare face liar, I have no reason to lie. I am DBS checked. This is very, very, very, bad customer service.
I purchase a Rosewood Bergamo Romeo Cat Toilet large on Sunday 17/04/2016 £21.99.
When I got home and filled the cat toilet with some cat litter, when I went to lift the cat toilet by the handle, the bottom of the cat litter tray would come unclipped and cat litter would spill out all over the kitchen floor, this happened on several occasions. I decided that the Cat Toilet was not fit for purpose; it wasn't doing the sole purpose that it was intended for.
I called in to the store Petmania on 20/04/2016 to enquire what I could do the young lad with the ginger beard said that they would exchange the item, when I looked there was no other makes or design's, so I asked for my money back. He said that I could not have my money back - I explained once again what was happening and that it was not fit for purpose. My previous cat litter tray I had had for 3 years and this had never happened. The young lad made a phone call, to the manager Chris, he said that if he could prove that, it was fit for purpose then I could have an exchange, I said to the young lad that you don't have any other ones, can I have my money back and he said yes, if it can be proven that the cat toilet is not fit for purpose.
When I went into the store today, the so called manager Chris put a small bag of black fish tank gravel 500g in to the cat toilet to prove that the cat toilet was fit for purpose. I explained that I put more cat litter in than the quantity that he was using. I have two adult cats, not a kitten. And when the cat litter is wet/or being used it weighs more.
He was adamant that he would not give a refund. Even though I had my receipt, and the bar code sticker was still on the cat toilet. It was in immaculate clean condition. As it had been cleaned for hygiene reason's before I took the cat toilet back. I asked if he was the manager, he said that he was, I asked who was over him, or who the owner was, and that I wanted to speak to them. I eventually got a name of someone called Will, when I called him on 01642 677420 he was unavailable how convenient. I spoke to a woman; she said that she could do nothing until this Will was available. I said that I would write a bad review and here it is. I said that I was going to Trading Standards; there is a new law that came out in November 2015 a 30 day money back guarantee. Still this Chris refused to give me my money back. I then phoned the 01642 677420 this is still 40 minutes of me trying to get my money back in store and this so called Chris refusing. I told the woman on the other end of the phone that I was a very unhappy customer, and that Petmania's, customer service is appalling, she asked me to come back tomorrow and speak to Will, I said that I would not because I had been in the store the previous day, and I am still in the store 40 minutes later. The manager is rude, arrogant, and thinks that he is so smart and clever.
Result: I eventually got my money back!
I will not be spending in Petmania again. Bad word spreads, more than good word. read more
