We were surprised that we weren't offered an option of tea or water. We both ordered the pho with a beef rib. The food came very quickly. The beef rib was quite tender but with lots of connective tissue (which we enjoy). The broth was pretty good, but definitely nowhere near as good as many other Vietnamese restaurants we've been to. The serving size of both noodles and protein were very generous, but it's quite an expensive dish so that wasn't surprising. The washroom was unisex and was clean and tidy. We would return to try other dishes the next time we're visiting Montréal.

The place is quite small and lightly decorated. It's a relatively quick, fill you up place, and the prices are middle of the ballpark. Not a lot of pho choices if you're an exotic type though, as they only have the regular deluxe, rare beef, brisket, beef balls, or chicken/veggies (plus a couple meatless options). Their pho is quite inoffensive. Nothing to blow you off, but certainly no complaints for its quality. What a privilege to be able to enjoy well prepared Vietnamese food served in large portions. The pork served with both #49 and 58 were both juicy, tender, well- seasoned with great depth of flavor and texture. We also enjoyed the 3 bean drink. Reminds me of the Filipino halo- halo. Come hungry, because their large bowls are massive! Their pho was so nourishing and comforting on a rainy day. Each bowl loaded with a hefty serving of meat, tendon and tripe. The herbs were incredibly fresh and even came with culantro! But the star of this meal had to be the bun bo hue; I haven't had such an amazing bun bo hue from a restaurant in a long time. The broth was beefy and loaded with tender pieces of meat, but also finally had enough of the lemongrass essence I crave for in bbh. It packed just the right amount of heat without it being overpowering or mouth-numbing. I practically licked the bowl clean at the end of the meal.
