The best part of this place is the staff. Every time I come to Paris, I stop in here at least once…read moreto shop but also just to chat. They are pretty well entrenched into the fabric the seemingly ever-changing Montmartre/Barbès neighborhood. The owner and in-house label designer is always a pleasure to chat with. He likes to chop it up about everything from hip hop music, to design, and politics. If you're just passing through be sure to get some dining recommendations as well. They know the spots. But I digress... The boutique is dope. They offer a number of niche brands that create some quality clothing. Also the in-house Isakin brand is coming out with some very well put together pieces each season. I shop mostly for their pieces when I'm there. They give you that Parisien refinement without any of the pretentiousness. You can't help but to love it. This place is a neighborhood gem.

If you can time your trip to Paris, Soldes is one of the best times to stock up at COS. I found this location to be well stocked with plenty of items on sale. The clothing is quite drapey and subtle and consists of both numeric and alpha sizing. There's a small men's section as well. If changing room line downstairs is long try upstairs! It's a welcome change from the in-your-face trendiness of H&M. Wish they would expand stateside!

Their merchandise is extremely diverse, comprising just about anything you want across three buildings. The main building, where you'll find women's fashions, accessories, cosmetics, eyeglasses (including an optometrist), sportswear, children's wear, is topped with a must-see art glass dome, complete with a glass cat walk (maybe on the 4th floor?) that enables up close viewing of the dome from the inside. There are restaurants, rest rooms, and sweets shops in this building, too. Menswear has a building all to itself, as does the food court. Be careful here. There are so many delicious and appetizing foods offered in the food court building that you'll be tempted to overstuff. It would be just too easy to spend an entire day shopping at Galleries Lafayette.

At the entrance all the well known brands for bags and clothing. The area for Moynart Labubu was doing brisk business. A Labubu bag I looked at was 2300 euros!!! Soooo many stuff here. We went to the 6th floor to get souvenirs, cookies, and gifts to bring home. Our suitcases will be packed full. Great service, friendly staff. No pictures, the store was too crowded and I didn't want to get in trouble for taking pictures with no permission.

I fell in love at every turn from the moment we stepped through the door. I picked up gifts for myself, my nephew, and a friend at work. It was the most pleasant and calm shopping experience I've had in a very long time. If you're looking for the most top notch shopping look no further, you'll find the most special items here.

They first introduced the idea of a place with fixed prices and no haggling, which was an intense concept for folks in the 1800s. Pass forward to modern days, I'm not sure if it's still a good deal, because now it is a department store of luxury goods. They have designer fashion, accessories and beauty, home and design and an epic food hall. I'm not into the shopping but I was here to admire the architecture since there was parts of their glass and ironwork done by Gustave Eiffel. Not a must visit, but interesting place to browse if you have some extra time.

Ummm, never. That's what I thought. And that's what makes this particular L'Eclaireur address one of the most unique and pleasant boutiques to visit in Paris, let alone the rest of the world. I rarely go to this shop because everything there is just too gorgeous and too expensive, but yesterday I was in the neighborhood and stopped by because I've been fantasizing recently over these adorable charms by an LA-based artist named Catherine Michaels that I knew l'Eclaireur carried. Of course the charm that I wanted was one of the pricier of the series, but I've been a very good girl lately and felt like I deserved it. The saleswomen helping were absolutely adorable despite their chic, sophisticated looks. They were so helpful, looking through catalogs to see what was in stock, getting out different strings for me to try my charms on with, marveling with me at how intricate and unique the designs were. It was such a pleasant pause from reality that the purchase happened almost in a blur. But every time I look down now at my fantastic charm necklace I'm thrown back to the experience and am so happy that I decided to ring that bell alongside that ominous door.
