I have a brand new, weeks old, air conditioner that was installed incorrectly as far as filling with refrigerant and making all the adjustments of pressure and whatnot. The tech got here at 8: 45 and he was here until 11:00 a.m.. Turns out the AC was way overcharged with refrigerant. The air filter hadn't been changed in sometime, The tech couldn't figure out why we weren't getting enough airflow out of the vents in the house. Completely blocked air filter was the issue. I have an inherent distrust of car salesman, car repair shops, electricians, and AC guys. After watching the tech work for 5 minutes I knew I'd made the right choice in calling AireServ. This company is a franchise, all AirServe locations are franchises that are locally owned and operated. Part of the reason I chose them was because they are local Even though they have that nationally recognized name. I couldn't be happier. Thermostat is set to 72, the thermometer says 72. I asked if they could come out on a Friday afternoon when I could be home. I was told they could only do 9 am on Friday, as a special request. I received quotes from 4 other HVAC companies in Missoula for our project, and none of them had issues meeting us at a time when we could be off of work. Devan from GCPH scoped out our situation and his proposal was the most detail oriented of the three. We decided to go with Garden City and are very glad we did. The job was a three day project. Both Mike and Shane were on time every day, kept us informed about the process, supplied us with space heaters for the first night without a furnace, and went the distance rounding up their plumber Aaron to get the hot water heater installed the first day. Mike made sure we understood the programmable thermostat before he left on Friday which was timely as the temps plummeted that night and into the weekend. We are very happy with Garden City and would recommend them to others who are investing in a heat pump. All staff were informative, friendly, and competent.

I ok'd $225 for the work, which seemed high to me, but I was in a bind. The work took 15 minutes. Then, the plumber told me the $95 dispatch fee would be added to that amount. I was stunned. For most companies, the dispatch fee becomes part of the service cost if you go ahead and choose to have the work done. $320 for 15 minutes onsite? The property was only about 15 minutes away from Garden City's headquarters! Oh, well, the plumber applied a coupon that dropped the bill by $25. So $295 for a 15-minute job snaking a sink. I've regularly used Garden City, but I won't use them again. UPDATE: Garden City replied to my Google review and invited me to talk. I sent an email to the company saying I'd be glad to receive their phone call, noting that they have my number on file. Probably I put it in the email, too. I can't recall because that was more than six months ago. No one has called. I think that lack of contact speaks to the sincerity of the reply posted to that review.

I am posting this as a public warning: there are other companies and electricians you can find to…read moredo these kinds of installations, and I suggest you do that or figure out how to install the system yourself. Additionally: on Google, 2 of Carbon Recall Kalispell 5 star reviews come from people with the same last name as the ops manager (Vogel), and an additional five star review comes from someone with the same last name as one of their other associates (Schermerhorn). Take that however you want. Find the equipment that Carbon Recall installs (Sol Ark inverters, HomeGrid batteries) and buy them somewhere else. My initial project with Carbon Recall ended with a three star review. The information and communication between signing the original contract and installing the system surrounding schedule, what was my responsibility to prep the site, what they would actually provide and install, was terrible. They responded to my negative review asking how they could improve the relationship. I hesitantly hired them for my system expansion primarily because they knew the context of the original installation and expressed desire to make it right. Communication was somewhat improved during this project, however, upon conclusion I was explicitly pressured into modifying my negative review. I did so. But now, I am posting my final review. They billed me for repair of what they and the inverter manufacturer stated to be a workmanship error in Carbon Recall installed wiring on the AC side of the inverter. This, despite their service agreement explicitly stating that all work associated with diagnosis and repair of faulty workmanship would incur no cost. The invoice came without explanation and they barely responded to my calls or texts disputing and requesting clarification except to insist that I must pay it, and implicit threatening to withold/limit future service if I did not. Well, I am already not counting on them for future service. They get two stars instead of one only because they appear to use quality inverters and batteries.

We are very happy with the service and product we received through Carbon Recall.  Everything was…read moredone on budget and on schedule.  The personal treatment and attention to detail was above and beyond.  They did everything having to do with the electric company and county, so I didn't have to do any paperwork or make phone calls.  They have their own sub contractors, including electricians and passed all the inspections. The results are exactly what they projected.  James Vogel had a graph for me showing how much solar energy we could expect through the different months of the year and was right on target. They have also found places in our home that could be improved to save us more money.  They gave us the information and let us decide without being pushy.  They have a great service to offer and do so in a professional manner.   I already refer them to my friends and will continue to do so.
