I mean, I used to go to the very first Park Dental that was in Brooklyn Center growing up and then that chain just blew up. With that blowing up(went to the Grand location), I never had the same dentist or friendly service or care that I used to receive. It was nice but it felt like a factory and when you are all up in there, I kinda want to know you. And now I do. Paul is awesome and the staff at the office are alway top-notch. I get my reminder calls and scheduling is always accommodating to what my work schedule is. You need someone in Highland, the Mendes Family Dentistry is the place to go.

The front desk staff is great and is very helpful when it comes to insurance, which can be tough as a patient. I actually stopped going here a couple years ago as my insurance changed. I went twice to a Metro Dental and was so unimpressed I changed my insurance at the beginning of the year so I could go back. My wife had started going there before we got married and I got on her insurance just to go to Mendes. If you're looking for a great local dentist, this is your place.

I'm really impressed with Personal Care Dentistry after being a patient at Park Dental for years. The hygienists are lovely people (shout out to Brianne, if I remember her name correctly, she's amazing), and mostly good communicators. I had to get my permanent retainer removed, and they offered a much more reasonable price for the work, including replacing it with a better version. They recently made huge renovations to their clinic (thanks to building equipment malfunction on an upper level), so it's very new and clean. They do charge extra for credit cards, which can be a lot when the bill is so large (as it often is with the lack of dental insurance coverage. They do offer 5% off when your insurance doesn't cover the expense). Parking: free in a parking lot

I was referred out for an extraction to Dakota Oral Surgery in Eagan and ended up paying nearly $900 out of pocket. Maybe I have been spoiled, but the office staff of any other dentist I worked with CHECKED to see if I was being referred to a specialist who was covered by my dental insurance. I accept that it was ultimately up to me to check, but I was too trusting. Simple thorough cleaning by Kelly.  Apparently the floss pics I love can't clean out behind my back…read moremolars... Whoops.  Teeth grinding in the past has caused much gum recession.  Dr. Dave thinks a gum graft will hopefully prevent the cavities that are starting to become an issue on the lower front teeth below the enamel where the softer dentin is showing on the canines and between (20-29?)  I know that Dr. Dave does the conference circuit and is well trained on newer methods of dental surgery so I'm optimistic.  How do I know this?  Bc in the past 10 years he is occasionally out of the office for some industry conference or seminar on oral surgery when I'm making an appointment or getting a cleaning   I also appreciate that he chides me about my nighttime diet lol (jolly ranchers in bed )  Cheers, Ryan
