The sound carried well for our concert and the seats were okay. Not the most comfortable but I understand it is an older theatre. I only wish we had more room for dancing during the show, as it was a tight squeeze. The theatre has many striking features that give it a grand feeling. You can look around and see history in the design. Overall, a good experience seeing David Byrne in concert here.

He gave us some tips about where we might see certain types of birds and he was absolutely spot on!! We spotted a pair of bald eagles in the tree line and after a 5 minute wait or so, they treated us to a flight right over the car to soar over the water on the other side of the drive. It is absolutely amazing that this wonderful resource is free to enjoy. The visitors center is accessible to those using mobility equipment and the drive is a wonderful way to enjoy the wildlife without a hike.

It's advised to call in advance to make a reservation, but there were several walk-ins when I visited and they were easily accommodated. Admission is $7 and includes the tour. The historical site is operated solely by Reverend Paul, a highly knowledgeable steward who had such a passion for honoring and celebrating the life of Harriet Tubman that he quit his job in Washington, DC and moved to Auburn to run this landmark. Paul was a fantastic guide. He checked everyone in at the start of the tour. If you arrive early, you can wander through the visitor center on your own, which has photos and facts about Tubman, her contemporaries, and other relevant details about the Underground Railroad, abolition, the Civil War, and women's suffrage. Once the tour starts, attendees sit while Paul spends about an hour telling Tubman's life story in great detail, from childhood to old age. Paul's talk is thorough, humorous, and wonderfully educational. He asks for audience participation throughout to keep the group engaged. After the talk, we moved to one of the houses on the property that was open to the public and where Tubman actually lived. Paul shared additional details about the history of the abode. It contained furniture pieces to exemplify what might have been inside the home when Tubman lived there. After the tour, attendees were free to walk the grounds, return to the visitor center, or peek inside the other brick home on the property, which was not open for entrance. I would budget about 2 hours for the experience. Great opportunity to learn about Tubman, a remarkable and legendary figure who shaped our nation's history.

There are a lot of informative and interactive areas, including exhibits on memory, energy, plate tectonics, Earth science, the geodynamo, chip chemistry, and the Micron memory megafab. I especially liked that the museum had enough depth for adults to actually learn something, while still being very kid-friendly with hands-on displays and play areas for younger children. My only small gripe is that a few of the exhibits and interactive devices felt older or worn, and some were not fully functional during our visit. Given the age of the museum and how much hands-on use these exhibits probably get from younger visitors, it is understandable. Hopefully they continue repairing and refreshing them, because the museum itself is definitely worth supporting and revisiting. The building itself is also pretty cool, with a historic exterior and a spacious multi-level layout inside. Overall, this is a great educational stop for families, kids, and adults who enjoy science, technology, and learning something new. Highly recommended.

We love coming here, and every visit feels a little different because they keep adding new, hands on areas for kids to explore. The newest GROW exhibit is a huge hit with my crew, especially the part where they buy eggs and pretend to run their own little farm stand. It blends imagination, real world skills, and ag technology in such an engaging way. I also loved the Amateur Nature Photography winners wall. It's such a beautiful way to celebrate local talent and get kids excited about nature. As someone who loves nature photography myself, I could've stayed there all day. A few favorite spots: Building Bricks area -- my boys love making forts Science Playhouse -- a multi-level indoor play area with climbing, sliding, and exploring. Indoor playgrounds are rare these days, and this one is fantastic. Micron area -- super engaging and surprisingly educational. Vending machines and bathroom layout -- easy, clean, and parent-friendly (a huge win). And don't miss the Dome shows. It's always worth checking the showtimes. My kids love grabbing popcorn and watching the short movies and planetarium-style features. This is one of those places where you can spend 30 minutes or three hours and feel like it was absolutely worth it. Staff is friendly, everything is clean, and it's genuinely fun to watch kids learn through play. Set between the two largest Finger Lakes, Cayuga to the east and Seneca to the west. This section of the Region during the mid-1800's was and still to this day is the home of a vast farming community. The Three Bears served from around 1845 with Papa Bear (Court House), Mama Bear (Clerk's Office after 1860), Baby Bear (Clerk's Office before 1860). All three side by side with the same beautiful architecture, and stepping down in size. Truly unique and rightfully on the National Historic Preservation list. Today, they still stand (sit) proud and each showing their age. Carefully being maintained by Supporters and Volunteers. In the warmer months, the plaza is a great spot to sit and enjoy lunch from a nearby vendor during the workday. Liberty Pole Plaza is also the home to concerts and other gatherings. After the war, poles were erected in communities to commemorate those struggles and celebrate patriotic pride. Rochester's first Liberty Pole was built on this same spot in 1846. When it was destroyed in a storm, the new one went up in 1860, standing proudly at 102 feet tall with a large wooden ball and weather vane.
