Express Shoe Repairs

It was a pleasure to nip in here the other day with my Mum. I'd not planned to pop in, but she saw…read morethe shoe sign and made a bee-line for the door. Before I knew it we were discussing the ins and outs of suede and leather care with the lovely chap inside. He explained that for leathers it was a simple case of protecting with polish, but suede on the other hand was another issue. He in fact said he could end up selling us fifty pounds worth of care products, all of which we'd use fully, just to protect our shoes. So, an expensive thing to look after it seems! Nonetheless we simply made a purchase of some hardy looking suede protector spray and ended up having a lovely bit of banter in the meantime. As I looked around at the array of different items this place has on sale I was reminded just what a jack of all trades this cute little shop is. Need some make up? Plenty of cheap basket items check. Need a keyring? Check. Shoe care items? Check. And so on. A really handy shop with a lovely bloke to help you out!
What a great find this little shop is. Fantastic service and excellent value for money. I've…read morerecommended to all my friends who have struggled to find a good shoe repairer. This business does so much more too, key cutting, watch repairs. Will certainly use again and recommend to others.
Shaw Jewellers

Shaw Jewellers is a great little jewellery shop in Pudsey. As they say, very largely with their…read moresignage, they do more than merely sell a ring or two. Shaw Jewellers is great as you can have them engrave special items, repair any watches, clocks or jewellery as they have an on site workshop - this is great if it's a small job; you can bring the item in, go for a lovely cuppa at Olde Booths, come back and collect, done! Pretty useful to have, as I can't tell you how many rings I have ruined by constant usage. As well as these excellent services they also have a pretty decent collection of jewels and watches for one's perusal! Though I couldn't exactly afford to splash out on a whim, I adored their gemstone bracelets which were on display. There was one with multi coloured gems - which I assumed to be carnelian, amethyst, garnet, aventurine and so on (but don't quote me, I could be totally wrong!) and it was pretty exciting. They also seemed to have gold chains galore, some beautifully delicate bracelets, some gorgeous vintage rings and some rather manly watches too. All in all, be it a special occasion or just a special treat for yourself, this is a grand old jewellers to browse.
Absolutely shocking customer service. Unsure why others write a good review. Wanted 3 valuations…read morefor my diamond rings and owner never available or working in the shop. It's run by her mother who is rude and impolite. Four times I went to the shop and was told to go back and each time the owner was not working after the mother taking messages told me she would be available, on the fourth time I was then told owner had now gone on maternity leave! I wasn't informed of this on previous visits. Either don't want your custom or unable to deliver a service which is advertised!! People deserve a better service and with manners. Disappointing which deserves a zero rating
Doltons Working Jewellers

With days to go to my wedding and another jeweller failing to do the work after having it a month…read moremy hopes weren't high, but Doltons came recommended so I thought I'd try one more time. The staff in Doltons were great they discussed what I was wanting to do and the best way to go about it then rushed the job going out of there way to ensure it was done before the wedding. A text message the next day was a great way to inform me the work was done and to a very good standard, I just hope my bride likes it now thanks a lot Doltons.

The Trophy Shop
I think I'd be a fan of a trophy shop purely on the principle of it existing, but it just so…read morehappens that this place is cool for more than merely being a real actual shop that sells trophies! The Trophy Shop is situated in the somewhat desolate Grand Arcade in the city centre, not such an ideal shopping location, but that is where you will find it. And, to use the phrasing of that indelible advert, it does exactly what it says on the tin. Within you can purchase trophies, cups and awards for any occasion! It might seem like a very specific need, but then think about the fact that in Leeds there are over 200 primary schools alone - they will all need their awards from somewhere! The Trophy Shop essentially caters for any competitive sports/activities in Leeds, providing the all important medals and awards items needed for any competition and championship. There really isn't a lot more one can say! For a quick glance it's handy to check their online catalogue, as there are images and prices in a very clear layout, but for more in depth advice they are happy to help in store. How exciting! I may make myself a trophy, just for the hell of it. Perhaps a 'world's best reviewer' trophy.... Heh heh. Kidding, honestly. I really am kidding!
Bob's Heel Bar
So, I have been saving up many pairs of shoes to re-heel all at once and decided to revisit Bob's…read moreto get them all done at once. I nipped in to Chapel A and went on in, explaining that three needed re-heeling and my boots desperately needed some kind of rubber bottom to the heel as the plastic was proving lethal in the wet weather. (Yes, summer seems to be officially over in Leeds with nary an hour of decent sunlight in the last week or so... ) The chap asked if I wanted them doing today, which I did, so he said he needn't bother with a ticket. Since I was getting four pairs done at once he decided to do all four for for only £20, where usually the individual pairs are a £6.50, which I thought was marvellous! I handed him my bundle of shoes and spent a lovely hour or so mooching in Chapel A and enjoying a coffee at Zed before heading back to see how he'd done. He showed me my newly re-heeled shoes and all three pairs seemed as good as new, it still amazes me what a new lease of life simply re-heeling can do for my favourite pairs of shoes, and he'd even polished up my boots with their new safety-friendly rubber heel. Couldn't be happier with the service, lovely staff and great work. Win!
