If you're currently visiting South Padre Island and wondering whether the drive to Dodici Pizza is…read moreworth it, let me tell you--IT ABSOLUTELY IS! We chose Dodici for our anniversary dinner, and everything from the food and ambiance to the exceptional service was five stars across the board! We started with the Caprese Frutta appetizer, and it completely exceeded my expectations. The combination of fresh mozzarella and fruit, drizzled with a delicate balsamic honey glaze, was absolutely delicious. It was the perfect way to start our meal. In fact, we loved it so much that we ordered another one to go so we could enjoy it later! For dinner, we ordered two different pizzas, and our only regret was not having more family with us so we could sample even more of their unique creations! Their pizza selection is anything but ordinary. I ordered the Margherita, and my husband chose the pepperoni. Both were outstanding--served piping hot, fresh from the wood-fired oven, and absolutely delicious. The service was equally impressive. Our waitress was incredibly attentive, friendly, and helpful with menu recommendations. She really added to an already wonderful dining experience. And as if the evening couldn't get any better, they surprised us with a thoughtful anniversary card that included a complimentary appetizer for our next visit! Such a sweet and unexpected gesture that made our celebration feel even more special. We will absolutely be back! Dodici is one of those places that makes you wish you lived closer. We'll be recommending it to every friend and family member visiting the area. If you're on the fence about making the drive from SPI, don't hesitate. It's worth every mile!

My personal favorite was the Fun Guy pizza, and I added Spanish sausage, which made it even better. My husband ordered the pizza with brisket on it and loved it. Our kids each got their favorites--one pepperoni and the other a classic margherita--and both were big hits. The dough really stood out to me. It was so flavorful and cooked perfectly--crispy in all the right places but still soft and delicious. You can tell they put a lot of care into their pizzas. Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for great pizza and a nice wine selection. We'll definitely be back! If we come back to this area!

This is a newly developed small business that has great potential. Here are my takeaways. The…read moreambiance is very chill and laid back. They have a few games that you can play while you dine-in. The comic book wall as well as the paintings on the walls add a great touch to the environment. I do believe the food is a bit on the pricey side. A slice of pizza is $5.99 but you can get a whole pizza (8) depending on the toppings starting at $16.99. To compare that, you are able to find pizza for $1-$2 in NYC. It's hard to understand why it's so expensive for one slice. The service was decent. There are no specials. Seems off to not have specials, since it tends to drive business. Waitresses were very dry and uninterested. They do not have wifi for guest. They waitresses did not ask if we needed anything else instead she had the receipt in hand, she laid it on the table and proceeded to pick up the plates. I told her we were not done and left. She came back and said: "Now, can I pick the plates up". This upset me. Overall, the quality of food was great. I do believe there is great potential for this business to succeed. I would encourage the owner to do daily specials. Also some trivia nights to generate traffic.

We got the 14" pizza, half Hawaiian and half pepperoni. The pizza was very good. The crust was perfectly thin and baked to perfection. 10/10 will be back.
