The pizza is good. Good crust and toppings. Beware of the customer service. Ordered carry out. I was told it would be 15 minutes. When I arrived in 15 minutes pizza was not ready. I was told to wait in my car and they would bring it out. Great. Well the pizza would not come. I went back inside and they had my pizza in a warming bag. They forgot. I went here with my cousin and her son. I ordered the meat lover's stromboli with a side caesar salad. Wow, it was huge! I like the fact that you can see the workers make your food fresh while you wait at your table. The caesar salad was nice and cold and the dressing had good flavor. The stromboli had plenty of cheese and tons of meat in it. It was definitely a good value for being a lunch menu item. The restaurant is quite small, but it's quaint and cozy. Having eaten at the Harlingen location a handful of times, I've never been disappointed. It's a balanced slice ; no one ingredient takes over, and it's certainly not overpowered with grease. By the same token, I guess you could say there's nothing nuanced about the pizza. Chances are you've probably eaten a similar style, especially if you've tried pizza across the country. The one menu item that caught my attention was their wings. They're delicious. Sure, I've recently had more memorable pizza in Houston and San Antonio, but as far as pizzerias in Harlingen, I'm not sure anyone does it better. I've only grown to like pizza over the years as I've experienced some pretty fancy pizza (like at Pizzeria Mozza), and only in the last few years have I started having pizza cravings. This Pizzeria is a low key pizzeria with friendly service, a good amount of topping choices (including some pre-made topping combos), and delivery service. For thin crust fans, this is the place to be. Their crust has a nice crunch, is thin but not soggy from the toppings. I had the pepperoni mushroom and the fresh mozzarella with tomatoes (I forget what it's called), and definitely liked the latter a lot. For the non pizza lover, there is pasta, stromboli, calzones, subs, and salads. They also have garlic knots... Also, don't forget to check in to yelp for a free slice! The pizza is great. The sauce is wonderful and it's the house sauce. The Chicken Caesar salad was only good. The lettuce was crispy- my one complaint if you will is that the chicken was so super dry it was like chicken jerky. Either over cooked or been sitting under heat lamp all day. They although never offered us or included Parmesan or red chili flakes. The pizza was pretty tasty, and they definitely don't skimp on the cheese. This was my first meal in Harlingen after a long road trip down here to start my rotation and I was pleasantly surprised! First of all points to the sign that is outside the shop - there is a top sign that says The Pizzeria and right below it says Legalized Marinara (and I'm not going to lie, I read that as legalized marijuana at first and gasped haha - could be from the fact I was so tired from my drive). PIZZA: I got a Spinach and Mushroom slice and a Hawaiian slice. Both slices were actually pretty good - the dough was light and the toppings were fresh and plentiful. The slices were big enough to fill you up as well. Although each slice was cut in different proportions. There were several other types of pizzas there but right now I can't remember the other flavors. BIG PRO: You yelp check-in and get a slice for FREE! CANNOLIS: At the last minute, my friend decided to purchase the cannolis after we watched them being made behind the glass. Unfortunately here is where this place loses points for me - the cannolis were not delicious at all. The filling inside tasted extremely like flour and lacked any bit of sweetness whatsoever. The day's selections are displayed in a case. I love this option because I can see what I'm getting and I enjoy trying all the different selections. The stuffed chicken parm is probably my favorite, followed closely by the spinach and mushroom with the white sauce. Eggplant parm is good too. I wasn't too thrilled with the Hawaiian and I thought that the BBQ chicken definitely needed more sauce. Their various crusts and sauces are all quite good. Probably the best Pizza in the Rio Grand Valley. The Strombolis are good, the Calzones are good, and the Pizza is good. You can order by the slice or order whole pizzas. They deliver or do take out.
