I hired this Andy guy for a large event, for two hours, and couldn't be happier with the outcome…read more As far as I know -- as far as the interwebs tell me -- he's the only caricature artist working in Albuquerque, and I was lucky his phone number came up during a search, because he also doesn't have a website. What's to be done about that? A Yelp listing, of course! I don't know Andy's story, but he's clearly spent a lifetime doing this work. For two hours he allowed one couple after another to sit down and subject themselves to his particular rendering of artistic eye, and several people told me the portraits were the best part of a much larger event. He's good, he takes his time -- I'd say 25-30 minutes per sketch -- and all he needs is an electrical outlet. He emailed his invoice prior to the visit, I paid via check, I don't believe he offers a credit payment option. He brings his own chair, supplies and easel, and at no extra cost he stuck around a little later than planned to make the finishing touches on his final work. Hire him.

There's nothing wrong with this gallery. I just wish that it was in a larger space, had an admission price, and the art was more organized and displayed prominently. This place is full of Looney Tunes, Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and other various cartoon prints. That sounds simple, but it's awesome! Some of the characters are in created worlds aside from their cartoon episodes. This is one of those situations where if I ever win the lottery, I'm going back. That's the only downfall. Prints are expensive. The cheapest thing I saw was $95. I saw some prices that made me gasp so I'm not sure about some of the art in this place. The priciest thing I saw was 8K! Some of it might've been painted or created by Chuck Jones himself... I'm not sure. The guy sitting in the gallery was nice. He greeted us upon entry and then we were left alone. It won't take you long to walk through this shop so if you love the Looney Tunes at all, take a quick walk through this gallery.
