We knew we wanted really good photos for our wedding because when the day is over the one thing you…read moreare left with are the photos. We knew we wanted the best. We did a lot of research and Alex was competitively priced with other highly sought after premier photographers, he actually beat them out on price which was great. He is slightly more expensive than most standard photographers, but let me tell you it is 100% worth it to pay a little extra money to get a world-class photographer to shoot your wedding. I felt beautiful on my wedding day and a part of that was knowing I had Alex on my side to shoot my best side. We had already created a good rapport before the wedding but even if we hadn't, Alex can put you at ease. He makes you feel so comfortable in front of a camera; I had let him know some of my insecurities before we started shooting and I can tell you I didn't have a single unflattering shot. For me there are a ton of amazing things about working with Alex but my #1 has got to be the fact that he doesn't ask for cheesy shots. We've all seen it, the same wedding pose you see time and time again where the couple looks so awkward and uncomfortable because they would never pose like that in real life; it usually includes some sort of lying or leaning on one another. Yeah, we didn't want that and Alex never directed us to do anything like that. Now if you want that, you certainly can ask him to up the cheese and Im positive he will be able to deliver but thats not his go to. He wants real photos that show love and comfort and happiness and he captures the essence of a couple, not just on their wedding day, but how they live their life together. Alex's photography is epic, our wedding photos are epic. Book Alex! Don't hesitate!

From the preview pictures he sent us I can't wait to see he rest! Definitely recommend him, not only are the pictures beautiful but Alex's customer service was beyond amazing!

He made space for me same-day, and within a week I had several excellent shots to choose from. Highly recommend!

My business mentor urged me to get a new professional photo to use on my website and other places…read morewhere I wanted my work to get noticed. I had been using an old photo (with the advantage that I looked younger, but not really as I look today) and also a drawn self-portrait that I thought did the job. But my mentor said, "People really want to see you on your website. They want that personal connection." So I went to Yelp, and winnowed the options down to 6 or 7 photographers in my area who did portrait photography. I researched the sites of all of them, and ended up feeling like the Goldilocks story: this one was too expensive, that one did professional head shots that looked more formal than what I wanted for myself, or too polished. (I didn't want to look glossy, just authentically attractive.) When I got to BK Photographie, I was met by landscape photos - but they were beautiful! Really lovely, magnetic, sensitive. I didn't see portraits of people there, but I intuitively trusted that anyone who could do such beautiful landscape photos could do headshots of me that would make me happy to share publicly. When I saw that he would actually come to my home (the other places had external studios), and charged a flat fee I could afford, I contacted him right away. The shoot went really well. Brian is a friendly guy with extensive photo knowledge. He came with all his equipment, though he didn't turn out to need it all. He suggested indoor poses (in a chair, standing by my baby grand piano) and outdoor poses (by a tree for its purple flower, by a tree for its stippled bark). He took dozens and dozens of photos, to the point where I stopped being self-conscious. At the end, he told me he would take a bit of time to choose and edit the photos, and then send them to me as jpg files. That was fine with me. When they finally arrived in my inbox, I was really happy with what I saw. He had chosen just a handful (two handsful, actually), out of the many click-click-clicks going on at the shoot. This pleased me too. He had chosen well. I have now uploaded several jpgs onto my website to replace the drawn self-portrait - and I can see the difference. I look vivid, friendly, present - and around my age. No matter. The beauty is there, and Brian found it and documented it for me to use and share. I highly recommend BK Watson Photographie!

He also was wonderful at returning e-mails in a timely manner which of course keeps the stress down while trying to work out all the little details. We also loved how easy it was to make payments online. The site was very user friendly & the ability to do payments while planning a wedding for anything is always a win in my book! Wedding day: In short....Josh & Rachel were AMAZING! For those planning a wedding; you probably will have this great plan for every minute of the day, but just be prepare to throw all that hard work out the window because life happens to everyone & it's so much easier to just roll with it! Our day went pretty smoothly thanks to everyone who was able to just go with the flow. I mention this because I feel like this is a very key element in the people you work with to keep the mood upbeat & keep in mind what's really important. Our day, Josh & Rachel were just those kind of people. We had our share of obstacles for them; we had a bride & groom who rather do anything else other than having their photo taken :), children running around left & right, a ridiculously large family, and to top it all off it was baking hot! The kind of hot that you don't want to move, wear clothing let alone be in close contact with anyone. However none of this seemed to matter, they were not only able to keep the smiles on our face but kept the smiles on theirs. They went beyond the call to get the shot, had the patience of angels with our "want to be photographers" & off the planned schedule, and still were able to make awesome memories for us to cherish. Thanks again! We truly appreciate everything they did for us on our day! Definitely recommend them for your wedding day!
