We are only 50% complete at this point and are truly disappointed in the franchise in Lake Worth. As we have progressed through the build we have run into a multitude of line items that were well underestimated even though our estimator had detailed information from us, our architect and in some cases the actual vendor. We have tried repeatedly to set up a meeting with the franchise owner and have never heard back. The invoices for payments 2 and 3 arrived on time but still no response from the owner. While the concept is good, the execution in Lake Worth TX is not up to snuff.

Since people regularly seek suggestions for remodeling companies, I wanted to share our experience and some pictures of the final product. The experience of working with them from the initial communication to every stage throughout the process was superb. We worked directly with James Pulliam, who's the head of their remodeling department. James was extremely helpful and professional, especially in his consistent communication. He was on-site several days each week to check on the progress and speak with us. The craftsmen were also fantastic, with the same three gentleman working throughout the project. They were courteous, personable, communicative, knowledgeable, and highly skilled.

When they saw the panic on my face the first day, after discovering what comes with living in a construction zone, they jumped into problem solving mode immediately. They came up with a plan to keep my house as dust free as possible, even though it made their job harder. It did not slow them down at all though, as they far exceeded the timeline! I am so thankful, as are my two babies! James and Omar were awesome but the real stars were our daily on site workers, Rodrigo and his partner! Rodrigo was professional, friendly and such a hard worker. He checked in with us every step of the way to ensure everything was to our liking and as we expected it. Definitely check them out!

We contracted Patios by Design to build a new patio cover, attached to the roof, with a solid roof…read moreand extend the size of the patio from 26x10 to 26x16. From the first interaction with Shane Galindo we were confident in his skills and creativity. We are blown away with the beautiful cover he created. He suggested a gabled portion to extend the gable over the patio door. Awesome idea. It feels much bigger and airy. His technique of burning the wood before staining it makes a huge difference in the richness of the wood. It creates a sense of luxury by bringing out the wood grain. After he sealed everything the wood shines, the light bounces off it and most importantly protects it from the harsh elements Shane demonstrated a high level of professionalism guiding us through the process where we lacked the finished vision. He never lost his cool or got frustrated. He understood and went out of his way to ensure all concerns were addressed in the most professional manner. His attention to details is unmatched. He used high quality hardware to compliment the rich wood. Every beam not only offers functionality but represents an element of design. The conduits were painted black, the caulk is black, the light fixtures repeat the same elements as the overall construction. The recessed lights are encased in boxes with the beautiful wood burn and stain just like the beams and posts. From big to small, every last detail is at the same high quality. He didn't cut corners to speed up a process, his team worked diligently from start to finish. They maintained a safe and clean working area and paid great respect to our property. Shane even cut/carved out a big surprise element: the outline of my home country, Germany, not just the place I came from but where our love story began 48 years ago. He installed this unique piece of art prominently on the gable. I highly recommend any homeowner to call Patios by Design when considering their patio cover or remodel. It is my greatest joy to sit outside for hours - in any kind of weather. Thank you, Shane and team from Patios by Design, for this exceptional experience and high value.

*** Legends Construction- Excellent!!!…read more Preston, the lead of a small crew, impressed us immediately when walking thru the house to determine the work we required. His technical knowledge upon which he based our bid and his help with ideas and possibilities for areas of improvement we hadn't solidified, assurance of the abilities of his team, and, of course the competitive bid won us over. Preston, tho the lead, worked hard as did his team, every day. With past contractors, the bidder/overseer of the work stops in only to check on the workers Preston communicated quite well and often, talking thru each job to ensure we both clearly understood the details of each task and going beyond expectations. His bid on painting walls, e.g. was so thorough, including everything, the baseboards, window sills, etc. and he took on projects we added. Tasks were divided among the team based on their specialties and, at one point, the painter of walls/cabinets/etc pointed out other spots he planned to touch up, work not included but his perfectionism nagged him and he just couldn't leave it as is. All the work the Legends Construction team far surpassed any other contractor we've employed before. Their work is meticulous, their attitude always upbeat, and stayed late, at times, to ensure the work was completed on time. You cannot go wrong selecting Legends Construction for any task, small or large, you need!!!
