Things for the man." To assist with the de-feminization of clothes shopping. The store itself has a host of manly things to be enjoyed by manly men in the unavoidable unmanly event of shopping. Clothes, shoe, accessories, a soccerball popcorn maker, Borats mankini, this store is ful of useful and fun things to liven up the experience. It's fun, quirky stores like this that bring shopping back into the realm of possibility for men. Good job. I just wish it wasn't opposite "Hair on Darling". Or maybe that's a good thing. Girls to one side, boys on the good. Its good for cootie health too.

I've been to the store at Macquarie Centre a…read morecouple of times, and have bought a number of items from a top to a bikini to thongs, but wasn't that impressed with the selection - there wasn't that much that grabbed my attention, plus it's such a cramped shop. That's completely different at the Pitt St Mall shop, with all of the huge ground floor plus much of the second floor being devoted to women's clothing alone, with easily twice of the floor space at Macquarie. The aisles are also wider, there's so many more eye-catching displays, and so much was so tempting to try on. Or not try on, given the huge queues for the change rooms (just like at Macquarie Centre) - it's probably easy to take it home and try on in comfort, then return (within 30 days) if you don't like it (well, I'm sure that's what the receipt mentioned). I made it as far as the Home section, where there were lots of great cushions, knick-knacks and summery bags. Most of it was organised by theme rather than item (so the cushions were scattered around), making it difficult to just look at cushions, say, but easy to see what goes together. I didn't make it as far as the top floor with men's and children's wear. Tip: Rather than queuing for the register at the ground floor, try those in the Home section for no queue.

I bought a Paul Smith…read more"Inspiration is Everything" book for my then-boyfriend (it turned out Ok, he's now my fiancé) but they also have Paul Smith socks and other Paul Smith accessories (and I totally get the fascination, I have a beautiful Paul Smith scarf). But this store isn't Paul Smith in name so there are lots of cool button-up shirts which I think take up the Declic name and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of Faber Castle coloured pencils - although those are for presentation purposes only. This store is in city but there's another one, of similar awesomeness, in Chatswood Chase. Check it out.

We were looking for a box to put a ring in. There was nothing really that seemed to work so Peter walked us over the another area on that floor and asked other staff. They generally have great customer service and I must say probably the best return policy I have ever seen. I actually saw someone return an item that was over 10 years old (with receipt) and staff graciously took it and refunded the money. Good on them. It's the normal DJ's with department store layout catering for most things you could desire. Neat and tidy. The food section is one of my favourites. Often I find some of the best deals in the sale section. My first port of call. lol

The range was comparable to overseas however the pricing was a little higher (to be expected). The store in mid city centre is quite large and spacious. Buyer beware, they must have numerous suppliers as the sizing and cuts varies quite drastically so make sure you tey before buying.

With the average man falling into the fashion-impaired department, a stop into Maple will likely go a helluva long way. Hip, young brands like Nudie, G-Star, Kitsu, and Levi's fill the Maple shelves. Much of it is basic, but basics done well. On first approach, it looks more like a skate shop, but take and step inside and you'll find the merchandise to be much more trendy casual. I would say about 30% of the merchandise inside Maple is women's wear, with the rest geared toward dudes. If you're in the market for some of those rubber Native tennis shoes (in many different bold colors), you can find them here. They look a little like Crocs and Vans procreated, but in that super cool, "now" way.
