Wild Orchid do bra fittings of course but know that most of the bras are upward of $100 (one stunning push up I noted was $500). You get what you pay for as they say and the fabulous lacy numbers will certainly add a little perk to your day (and your cleavage). They also have a good range of seamless knickers including organic cotton ones for $14 (so soft - I love them). The boutique stocks a huge range of brands including La Perla, Aubade, Chantelle, Le Mystere, Lise Charmel, Simone Perele, Deshabille, Mimi Holiday, Elle Mcpherson, Nearly Nude, Berlei and Calvin Klein - and that's only some of them. They also have Hollywood Fashion Tape, Perfectform silicone inserts and stick on bras, silk pillow cases and eye masks.

The store itself is quite small and the grandeur of the window display makes it a bit of a let down. The best pieces are displayed in the window and inside is more basic that you may have been led to believe. The obligatory CK is stocked here but so are boutique labels I haven't' heard of like Spencer & Lacy and Love & Lustre. The store assistants are a bit funny too - not one of them said hello or welcome even as I made eye contact!

The clothes are fashionable so if it's fashion savvy kids (ahem... parents) you're buying for this is worth a look. Prices are on the high end of average, especially for kids. Expect to pay $40 for a pair of socks... ok they were the cutest stripy moccasin socks I've ever seen but the price tag couldn't quite tempt me. They also have a collection of children's books - most of which I'd not seen before which make for great gifts and a nice change from the Hairy Maclary and Very Hungry Caterpillar's that abundant at book shops.

Unlike so many surf shops, I really like that The Big Swim stocks classy swimwear that can be worn for more than one season. In fact, if I hadn't eaten my way around Europe for seven months, I'd still be rockin' the bikini that my eighteen year old self proudly purchased there as a post-HSC present to myself. The Big Swim does offer trendy swimmers - last season's crochet look was readily available there this time last year, but it doesn't let itself fall into the trap that so many swimwear stockists do - offering kitschy patterned numbers and nothing else. Your sixteen year old cousin probably wouldn't shop at The Big Swim; but that's a good thing. It offers slightly more expensive - and much more beautiful - items from the giants in Australian swimwear. Seafolly, Jets and an assortment of other classy brands can be found here. There's no two ways about it - The Big Swim is expensive, particularly when examined on the amount of fabric to cost ratio. However, it's also of a good quality. I rarely find that my swimwear from here has gone pilly, stretched before its time or faded. As we previously discussed, it's also not trendy enough for teeny boppers, so the garments on offer tend to remain stylish after one season of wear and tear
