Pete and his team (I think of one - at least, I've only ever spoken with one other person whenever I've called) are easy to contact and easy to deal with. They've never tried to upsell me, and they've always been great at communicating (and often over-communicating) exactly what they're doing for me.
(Feel free to ignore the details in the middle.)
My family has been with State Farm for ages, so when I first moved to the area... just under five years ago (hard to believe!), I stuck with the same company to purchase my own auto insurance plan.
More recently, I added a condo insurance plan to the mix, and mysteriously, my total bill actually -decreased-. Maybe owning real estate makes me less of a liability in terms of driving? I don't pretend to understand how the underwriting works.
Just this past week, I discovered my condo association management mandates that the association itself be listed on the individual owners' plans. I didn't really understand the details that entailed, but a phone call to Pete set me right with all of the information that I needed. His patience in explaining the various potential cases, whether it was that the association required I have individual insurance, to whether or not they required that they be listed on the plan was extremely helpful.
(Details over.)
Although Pete's the only auto and condo insurance provider I've worked with thus far (so, that's an n = 1), I completely commend him on his professionalism and personableness (which is apparently a word). Kudos! read more
