Horrible experience today with the grooming department. I took my 9 pound cavapoo for a grooming session. When I dropped her off, I showed the groomer a picture of how I wanted her, which was completely shaved down including the snout. When I arrived to pick my dog up, I saw through the glass window that the groomer kept a teddy bear snout. Julie, who I presumed was the grooming manager, was the one at the counter, and I asked her if they could shave my dog's snout all the way down. Julie's response was rude, saying that she wasn't sure if she could because my dog kept "flailing and biting" and it wouldn't be safe for the dog. She proceeded to go back and shave my dog's face. I watched the whole time, and my dog did not act aggressive in any way, just trying to avoid the clippers. But this is common behavior I'm sure from dogs when clippers to the face are involved. Plus, she had a loop around her mouth to prevent biting. Also she is 9 pounds! Julie came back to the front to the desk and I thanked her for doing this. She did not respond to that, and told me she is referring my dog out to another groomer. I said okay, maybe I'll look for a poodle concentrated groomer, they are probably better with this breed. And she responded "it's not the breed it's your dog. I've been doing this for ten years." At this point I am offended. They bring my dog out and I noticed one of her ears was scraggly and sloppily cut. I asked for them to just clean it up, and Julie said "I'm not cutting anymore". And walked away to the back. I said this isn't right, this is a $100! I just wanted the ear to be cleaned up. They even put the wrong leash on my dog when returning. This place is extremely unprofessional, rude, and amateur. I will never be coming back to petco again. AVOID. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. We have a golden that is the friendliest pup you will ever meet. After 3.5 hours, petco called to tell me they were only able to give her a bath and she is sitting in the kennel drying because she tried to "bite" the groomer. I truly have never seen my dog be aggressive towards anyone. When I picked her up, she was terrified and crying. The staff did nothing to try to calm her. Just kept her on a tight leash. When I tried to speak to the staff about it, they did not care and just wanted payment. Do not recommend taking your pets here!! read more

I had an appt and called due to being late the rep that answered was Coby. He was so rude and disrespectful and basically lied about not having any availability to reschedule. We got here on time and the doors were locked the actual store was closed and there was no way to get in and even make my appointment. The manager did nothing and was useless I will never bring my business here again. There is another petco close by use them! read more

This place is aces in my book , the staff is very knowledgeable mainly graham who really help us with our fish . They take their time to help the customers and really care about the animals whereas other pet stores where they just want to make a quick sale. Highly recommend this establishment . read more

II have my 2 Basset Hounds groomed at the Petco, Dynasty Dr, Ft Myers. Sergio and his staff are awesome. The loving care and attention to detail, is very confronting. My pets love him and run to give him and his staff kisses, every time we go in the store. The entire staff is excellent. Really disappointed in the "new" grooming policy of not being able to groom my dog because he is almost 16 years old and has a heart disease. We have been going there several months. Some of the groomers had a group discussion on whether or not they could take my dog so I was told as I was standing there to check him in for his appointment. The groomer said she'd be unable to take him because they didn't have a vet on hand in case something should happen. I would suggest they have a waiver available to sign instead of inconveniencing a customer who has an aging pet or any pet that has "health " issues. Or let customers in this situation know BEFORE they arrive in one of their great touchpoint texts about this policy. I hope that policy is worth having an upset customer who will not be a customer of Petco again. read more

Zero stars PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR DOODLEs here they shaved my beautiful six month old labradoodle's entire face like a greyhound including the whiskers !!! Not only this , the tried to blame it on his "Matts" that he did not have, and then tried to say I ASKED for this hair cut. Which clearly I did not. I understand the hair grows back but the least you could do is apologize for your own mistake. I was not looking for a free hair cut , we always are happy to pay full price and even tip on top of our past grooms. Instead the manager Sergio decided we shoulda be banned from petco grooming for a mistake their sulky, unprofessional , not qualified groomer made. I called prior to setting an appointment and asked what the cost would be for a 7.5 lb. dog - I was told $25 so I booked the appointment. I'm not willing to pay more because my regular groomer - who was booked solid - charges $40 for a full groom. After they completed the bath, I was given an invoice to take to the register to pay; it was $41... . $36 for the bath and a $5 fee for use of shampoo and some other bull. What?? $5 because they had to use their own material? So I decided to ask about this and explain that I was given a different price over the phone. The woman gave me no solution... not surprised. I literally said "Welp, it is what it is" and I let her know that I'd go pay. Now for the weird part. She sat in her little stool and stared daggers at me while I paid. I mean, chin down, eyes turnt up, full Norman Bates, all while she held my dog in her lap. I paid & left a tip, although she didn't deserve one (my pup smelled the same as he did before the bath less than 24 hours later). I walked over to grab my dog from this grown-ass woman and she was sure to give me more attitude than a emo teen who's just been told they couldn't stay in their room all summer vacation. I thanked her and she stormed off into the groomers area. So on top of being overcharged, having to pay an extra fee for "materials", I get more attitude than I would from a spoiled 12 year old. We brought our senior rough coat collie for a first time ever at this store grooming. Jaime and katelyn evaluated our dog and recommended a two part grooming just as our vet had suggested. The service was great. Katelyn seemed well informed and experienced. We will be back for part two next week. The stylists deserve recognition! read more

Great groomers; helpful friendly and cheap. I forgot my rabies paperwork and they directed me on how to find it online. I'm very happy with them. When they cut the dogs nails they really get the job done. The other place didn't do half as good. read more

They revamped this PetCo, added a total care veterinary facility. Everything is clean, everyone is friendly and professional, and I left with total confidence in their ability to care for my cat. My cat got all her vaccines and a spade surgery for a decent price that they give a range for so there wasn't any confusion during the payment process. read more

Although the weekend experience at this store is not as great this store still deserves the highest rating it can get from me simply because of how great the male manager and female employee at the front have made my last two visits during the weekday in the evening. It's just a review that will probably be overlooked by corporate but they really deserve the recognition. The past two weeks I've gone on a weekday night their is a wonderful manager and employee at the front desk that really makes the experience of going here a actual enjoyable experience to look forward to which is surprising since it's just petco. The first time, my partner and I were very surprised at how amazingly cool, kind, and accommodating they were. We felt welcomed and like they genuinely wanted to help us/cared. When the employee at the front had to call for a manager to help us for a price match and he came up we were surprised because usually managers are 'fake' nice or just seem bothered by you asking for help and you can tell. We both mentioned after the trip how enjoyable they helped make the trip and how we were surprised how good their customer service was. It was definitely memorable especially with all the not so nice things going on in the world lately. This past week we went he remembered us which is also amazing customer service as a manager and makes you feel welcomed in the store/wanting to come again. The same employee was at the front and was just as kind as the first time. Will definitely be coming during the week at night/evening to this location for any future petco trips. read more

Came in for mealworms for my bearded dragon. Upon checking out the reptiles I decided to look at what other beardies they have and when I tell you their enclosure was atrocious. Feces, shed skin, dead crickets & worms. They also had no proper lighting and heat for these creatures. Just awful and completely sad! read more

The girl who worked on my puppy was really sweet, but I won't be going back. I was told puppies take a while to get acclimated to the equipment and to plan on leaving him 2-3 hours. Four hours later I called and was told he was skittish and the cut was taking more time than they thought. When I got there (almost 5 hours after dropping him off), I saw very little difference. He had been trimmed round his eyes and tail and brushed. Nothing else. I even had to ask them to take him back and clean his ears. The groomer gave me instructions not to allow him to play with a brush (which I don't) so she could brush and trim him next time with less trouble. I paid $32 (not the $15 as advertised on the web site for the first time puppy cut -- complete with nail trim and ear cleaning) and have virtually nothing to show for it. I know the groomer probably tried, but all I could see was an uneven scissor trim around his eyes. I think I'll try a private groomer next time. read more

I would never recommend grooming at this Petco location. We had an appointment made and confirmed. When we arrived to our appointment they had not saved our appointment time. We showed the groomers the phone number we called to make an appointment in the history on our phone. They insisted we called the wrong number. We had been taking our dog for grooming at this location for the past 6 months, every six weeks. They never offered an apology or to resolve the issue. Overall, the grooming previously had been subpar but the location was convenient for my husband and I so we stuck with them. Unfortunately for them, they will no longer be providing a service to us. Incompetence is a word I would use to describe this petco's grooming services. read more

do not buy any saltwater fish they have marine ich and they will not return or exchange them even if it hasnt even left the bag. i noticed the ich from a fish inside the petco bag still and they didnt do anything to help me. i left the fish there i'd rather not even risk my whole tank getting sick. read more
