Honestly, I'd probably give them just 1 star if it wasn't for the pleasant experience I had initially in-person. Long story short, my senior dog (just turned 10 years old) had been vomiting on and off for a few days and I eventually noticed a small amount of what looked like blood in her stool outside in our backyard. This was a Friday afternoon when I noticed the blood, so I panicked and called this vet as it is the closest to our home and I knew it would be difficult to get in anywhere before the weekend. Luckily enough, they had an opening for a 4:30 appt and we took it. As I mentioned, I had a great experience in person. The building has recently been renovated and everything was very clean and organized. We were brought back to a room immediately and didn't wait too long for the actual vet to come in and look at my dog. All seemed well physically, but we decided with her age and the symptoms that it'd be best to run a full senior panel just in case there was something internally going on with her organs. I was told I'd get the results the next morning (Saturday), via phone call. Well, Saturday came and went, never heard a thing. I find that odd to begin with as anytime I've been to any vet, they always call 24 hours later to check in. They are closed Sundays so I figured I'd get a call first thing Monday morning... nothing. My husband finally found an email with some info from the panel, but I still wanted to speak to the vet and hear from him so that he could go through everything with me because a lot of it is hard to understand. I finally grabbed my phone and called them Monday and asked about the results and why the vet hadn't called, and the front desk receptionist said that the results are in and I should receive a call later that day. I waited and waited, never got a call. I called back around 4:30 to be put on hold for almost 20 min, to then be told the vet had left for the day and that he could call me back the next day between 3-4pm. This other employee told me that my account had somehow been switched to "inactive" and that is the reason I never received a call. At this point, I almost lost it. What if there was something wrong with my dog that needed to be addressed? If I hadn't kept calling, they would've never reached back out! Needless to say, I won't be returning here again.

We made an appointment for a Saturday morning. We showed up a few minutes late because we ended up at the animal hospital across the street from Vickery Village thinking that was Vickery Animal Hospital. Both animal hospitals said that happens all the time. The staff at VAH was patient with us and was able to take us in right away. The space is small, but it's nice and clean. They directed us to a private room where a technician met with us. Shortly after, the doctor came in. They both performed the yearly check-up and ran the necessary tests. Our husky had an ear infection at the time of our visit, and the vet recommended an antibiotic. He did a great job of explaining everything. He addressed all of our questions and concerns. I received a phone call from one of the office staff members a day or two after our visit just following up on how our dog was doing. I thought that was a nice touch! We had a great experience and will continue to take our dog to VAH.

To come on here and say by saying the staff reached out to me "the same day" is a LIE. To attempt to flip the script by claiming I have had "conflicts" with staff in the past is yet another LIE. This is a shamelss attempt to shift blame and I'll be spreading this far and wide. Like I said, there's a reason why I was the only person in this place for over an hour, while you can't even get into other vets for a week out. ********************************************************* I have used this vet for years, bringing many rescue dogs there over time. I have referred them to many people as well. My last visit here was nothing short of surreal and I won't be going back. I was shocked to see how much they raised their prices and now, can not possibly be considered a lower cost alternative to other local vets. Apparently, they don't like it much when you question their prices or ask questions about it. At the time of checkout, the bill was far higher than I anticipated and I had to have them deduct a few items I decided not to purchase there. That was yet another thing that seemed to really irk them. On the drive home I called out of curiosity and asked when they raised their exam fee and was told by a VERY snarky and rude "Amanda" that they raise their prices annually "like everyone else does". She then proceeded to tell me that she "talked to the other staff" and "we think you should find another vet". She then hung up on me! I called back immediately in disbelief only for her to immediately hang up on me again! I have sent my concerns to their corporate office however, they don't seem to care since I have received no response. I'm not sure when it became acceptable to treat you customers this way, however, Do not go to the Express Vets in Cumming. There's a reason I was the ONLY person there for an entire hour. I am leaving complaints with the BBB and everywhere else I possibly can. No one should be treated this way.

I can't say enough great things about Dr. Jandrlich and his staff at Vann's Ferry Animal Hospital…read more He is extremely knowledgeable, kind, and truly cares about the animals in his care. If you're in Forsyth Co, this is your office. Our Golden, Chloe, had a bowel obstruction from ingesting a hard piece of plastic. This was a fairly urgent situation that could have become fatal very quickly. We called Vann's Ferry on a Tuesday morning with no appointment. He worked a full day that day, and operated on Chloe AFTER business hours - it was a 2+ hr surgery that didn't start until after 5pm - on a week day. He has a family at home, and could have very reasonably postponed the surgery until later that week during regular business hours. Instead he did what was best for Chloe. He called us around 8pm that evening afterwards, and was very thorough in his explanation of how the surgery went, answered all of our questions, etc. The blockage was removed successfully and Chloe is on the mend, but her intestines showed clear signs that a perforation and likely death would have been in the near future if not for prompt intervention. His fees for this surgery, as a side note, were about 50% what another office had quoted us for the same procedure. This hasn't been the first time Chloe needed a surgical procedure, either- Dr. Jandrlich removed a benign nodule removed from her eyelid last year. This is very thin, delicate tissue, and permanent scarring and eyelid dysfunction is common after surgeries involving this area. Chloe's eyelid looks fantastic - you can't even tell she had a mass removed from it. He doesn't nickle and dime - his fees are more than fair - and he doesn't do unnecessary tests or procedures to run up the bill. He doesn't what's best for your pet, and does it well. If you're looking for a vet in the Cumming/Forsyth Co/Alpharetta/Milton area, please check out this office. We're glad we did.
