The next visit I'm not sure who I saw. They took her back to get a fecal. I told them that I could have brought a stool sample. I could hear her screaming. Apparently, they stuck some kind of bubble wand up there trying to get something. I didn't like that but I didn't say anything. What's really been on my mind is my last yearly visit. Normally I like mornings, but I agreed to a 2 o'clock appointment. I got there at 1:30 and the front desk said we're early. No hello, how are you, hello Dolly. Just 'we're early'. I misjudged how long it would take me to get there from Cumming. I always get to appointments a little early, like 15 or so. I figured I'd get right in after lunch and get out quick. Dr. Bassett did come out looking for somebody while I was in the front so I saw him there. So at 1:50 a woman walked in with her dog and was taken right back. I was a little frustrated, but thought maybe she's seeing someone else. At 2:10 I was finally put in a room. The tech came in shortly after said so we're here for a yearly exam. I'm sorry I just don't get it. I know why I am there. I said I had been waiting for a while. She said well the doctor is doing return phone calls. She was not nice about it either. Why have a 2 o'clock appointment then? If you're calling people with sick dogs, or some kind of post treatment question that could take some time. To make matters even worse I could hear them back there talking about me and then came in at 2:20. He said something about I was told you were frustrated. I said yeah, I was. I'm sorry, but it's customer service 101. I'm there in the office waiting. Make your phone calls after. The icing on the cake was he was giving her all of her shots in her hip, and she has very skinny little bony hips and on the third one she yelped. I feel like dogs I've had in the past and even with this dog, their shots were given in the scruff of the neck. I don't think I'm imagining that. When she screamed, they looked at each other like what's going on here. He said I should go get some kind of joint medicine to give to her for life! It's expensive. Chondroitin? She's not in any joint pain. She doesn't limp. She doesn't have any joint problems. I went in, not too long after that to get her Simperica trio and the tech that was in the room that day was coming in from I don't know where lunch or maybe to start her day and she gave me a dirty look in the parking lot. I hadn't done anything wrong. I show up on time, well early actually, and I ask why I'm having to wait so long when I had seen the doctor there and I'm a problem? It's also very frustrating when they googoo gaga on other dogs and don't even acknowledge my dogs existence. My dog is so sweet. She loves girls and there are a lot of them up there. I just don't know if I will continue going there. It's really hard to find somebody too, so it's upsetting

Someday he would have two or three, then may skip a couple of weeks. That clinic was of little or no help after the problem started. Dawson Forrest's vet immediately prescribed two medications that actually worked and our pup hasn't had a seizure in a year. The vet takes time to explain the pet's issue in a way that is very understandable. He takes time to properly diagnose, treat, and instruct on how to protect your pet. In my opinion, you cannot find a better veterinarian!

My family came to Creekside Animal Hospital to board our 6 year old Shih Tzu for 10 nights. They…read morerequired a health check up before boarding since this wasn't our normal vet. Dr Dane pointed out that our dog had some teeth that needed immediate attention ( we were unaware her teeth were in that condition ) and could be done during her stay. My moms dog also was being boarded along with ours. I called daily to check in on her and every time they responded " she's doing great and she's eating ". The staff called after her surgery to let us know she made it out and did great while under. Monday afternoon we picked up my dog along with my moms and they looked "drugged'. After arriving home both dogs attached their food bowls and couldn't get enough. I noticed my dog had lost a good amount of weight...but was told she was eating!!! The next day my dog fell ill- she couldn't walk, eat, drink and didn't look herself. I know she had teeth removed but this didn't add up. We brought her back to Dr Dane and was told she had Aspiration pneumonia and could've gotten it while staying there or due to surgery! This is definitely NOT what you want to hear after just spending $$ on the stay and mouth surgery. They sent us home with meds and another bill. Our dog kept getting worse; not eating ( she had already lost weight from the boarding ) couldn't stand or walk and just layed there. We felt a 2nd opinion was in her best interest; it was confirmed she has Aspiration Pneumonia and needed medical attention. She had to stay onsite to receive IVs and meds for 2 days!!! Fast forward to today..she is recovering thankfully and is slowly gaining weight back. This is going to be a slow road to recovery!! Be cautious when taking your loved furr baby here!!!!!!!!!!

Huge Bill !!! I actually went back to the clinic 4 days later , asked to just pay for more medication. They said required another Doctor Visit charge and blood work that had only been done 4 days before . I walked out of that office so mad !!! It was a hustle ...,blood work, another doctor charge and the strength medication given low on first visit and at check out ... didn't give me all the paperwork/ tests done ! Made a next day appointment with "Crestview ", they said blood work was current enough , gave my cat a stronger version of medication that worked ! Best advice....Stay away from this clinic !!! Horrible

He takes his time to examine your fur babies to ensure they are healthy. We have plenty of vets around our house, but decided to stick with Family Tree after having gone to their office as one of my kitten had an allergic reaction and needed to be seen immediately. We make the 30+ minute drive out there because we know that we can get the best care for our pets. We are currently working towards getting all of our pets on the same vaccine schedule so we can minimize our commute out there, and it's nice to know that Dr. Bannister is willing to work with us in making that happen. Will not hesitate to recommend this vet to anyone who is looking for vet care. I've been telling all of our friends about this place in hopes that they receive the same care for their pets as we did for ours.

Soon after when the doctor came in, she was warm and friendly as well and got on the floor with our dog to help to calm him. From beginning to end everyone there was knowledgeable and warm. While we were waiting for dog to be looked at under sedation, they texted pictures periodically to calm us and let know he was ok. Our dog was well cared for during this traumatic time. If you look at the photos you can clearly see she was cut too close and Angie was irritate and kept rubbing the irritated area. They did the best to compensate me but I do think the public should know what could potentially happen to your babies If you go there.

My other cats go to a different vet, but once it became clear that Riley was becoming MY cat, I took him back to Big Creek since he already had a record there. They have always been great. Just at the beginning of February, Riley was attacked by a feral cat. I had to take him in once I found he had a large puncture wound. The vet was amazing. She was able to get him in that day and perform the surgery. I was very happy with the communication and the staff. I would recommend Big Creek Animal Hospital.
