Our Goldendoodle has been groomed by Petco multiple times, however, this specific location we went…read moreto while we were traveling was the epitome of awful. From the get-go, Hailey was rude and unprofessional; she was unsure of how to do his haircut because of minor matting behind his elbows and kept repeating "i don't know, I'll try.". To my understanding, Petco has policies and requirements for groomers and their respective credentials, but it seemed like the team as a whole lacked the fundamentals. After speaking with Hailey over the phone to provide clarification and ask if I could answer any questions, she said no and that I should expect Bruno in about 4 hours. About an hour and a half later, the "previous salon manager" Ashley calls me saying that he is matted all over and that I need to pick him up or else they will shave him as the only solution. In a passive-aggressive and condescending manner, she disregarded any autonomy we have in our dog's style and showed a complete lack of professionalism. Upon picking him up, I spoke with the store manager, Rendy who was kind enough to tell us the truth behind why they refused to work on Bruno. In a professional way, she said that they do not want to upset picky dog owners; every dog owner deserves to be picky if they spend a considerable amount of time maintaining their coat. Rendy admitted that Ashley should not have provided misinformation over the phone falsely claiming that he is matted all over. The salon tech showed my wife how they brush through the coat and the second a tangle stops the brush, they diagnose it as all-around matting and thus refuse service. Although Rendy was kind enough to try justifying the groomer's lack of professionalism, she agreed and stated "It would have been worse if they continued with Bruno." I have had a poor experience with Petco before in which headquarters reached out, once again apologizing for a store's lack of professionalism. I think I am recognizing the trend. I believe if you have a low-maintenance dog with fairly straightforward genetic coat patterns, Petco is actually not a bad idea. However, if you are looking for someone who is educated in more modern genetically cross bred dogs, find an actual professional; quality over quantity!

I cannot recommend Jonesboro Family Pet Hospital HIGHLY ENOUGH!…read more I came in scared. After weeks of being unable to get my cats' records from a previous vet, I was bracing for a serious diagnosis and a surgery I knew I could never afford. Dr. Gary Strickland changed everything. He examined both of my cats thoroughly, sat down and went through their bloodwork with me line by line, gave me clear diagnoses and a real treatment plan, and sent me home with every piece of paperwork. And Jordyn -- I have to give her a special shout-out. She helped me carry my carrier in, handled both cats gently, gave me all of my paperwork, and patiently taught me how to give the medication Dr. Strickland prescribed. She even carried the carrier out to my car and loaded it in for me. That kind of care doesn't go unnoticed. But really, every single member of the staff was wonderful. You can tell they all love what they do -- and that they truly love animals. It shows in everything they do. I never once felt rushed, dismissed, or kept in the dark. This is what veterinary care is supposed to feel like. Zeus, Ritz, and I have found our vet home.

The actual receipts are included, I did as best I could to block out my info and the info of anybody "innocent"; if I missed anything, I sincerely apologize because this is ONLY about what to expect from the CSR "Cindy" at this business. I'm just going to guess that CSR is Customer Service Representative. This is what you can expect as a retort to a communications failure and the "atmosphere" of the "office help" when they have a service failure and the customer has to fix it on their own. This is NOT reflective of the Veterinarian's here or the service techs that actually interact with your animals. They are quite the OPPOSITE, imho. But if Cindy retains her position interacting with customers after I share these messages and veiled threats, I guess it does reflect the attitude(s) of the Owner, the Corporate Headquarters, and the Veterinarian; so be wise and make your own decision. The truth is the truth, I have not manipulated any part except covering the names of the real professionals. It wouldn't upload more than 20 images for the review, but I have ALL of the receipts for what I have paid. The 3 pages of Ai information was a HUGE benefit as to what to give them of WHAT I expected. Nothing special, just the truth. There are PLENTY veterinarians in Jonesboro that will take a Tier 1 customer that leaves there owing them not a cent. This started as a "cutting unnecessary costs" & "using free market" to the customer's advantage; but it ended up with some airhead representing a business with a disrespectful attitude, like she was doing me a favor. What I said is true: The customer will always be a customer; without a customer, she will be unemployed. Now I'm weighing ever spending another nickel to be disrespected because someone is in a position they obviously can't handle: customer service. I love my veterinarian, I've had to reschedule TWICE because they made appointments on his days off. Then tried to get me to do a "run through appointment" with another veterinarian . I don't do "run through" appointments with my kids, or myself... why would I do it with my pets, my best friends? Be wise, make your own decisions. But this is not Ai, I'm a real customer that paid real money for real care. Not a Saturday morning text by a butt-hurt desk jockey with hurt feelings. I'm just another nobody, so if you're like me, you know what to expect. The same review will be on the next site. Update: 21SEP26 After speaking with a very defensive office manager, the "office help" reference was "offensive and rude" and comparable to "them calling me an old man" (I am an old man, lol; just like they are office help)! What a bunch of snowflakes! After listening to the saddest explanation from the office manager of how I was so wrong and they were so right for the longest 10 minutes of my day, I decided I can look for a group of adults to conduct my business with that don't whine like babies if their feelings get hurt at work. All you folks that "get it your way" at work everyday... please do NOT refer to these people as "office help". They are VERY pronoun and noun sensitive, lmao. But the people that actually deal with your animal are really good. This post does not reflect them at all. What an experience! Drama central at Jonesboro Family Pet Hospital!
