My kids love going to look at all the animals, and usually take a bit of bribery to get them out of the shop. I recently discovered the adoption centre at the very back of the store, will probably have to keep the kids away from that bit or will end up coming home with a few!! Good selection of cold and exotic fish, and all the ones I had from here have had long lives!!

Ask for a plastic bag, and you'll be rewarded with a tut, a sigh and a bag from a shop down the road. Somehow I don't think it's anything to do with being eco-friendly, and more to do with a customer service ethos that sees customers as an inconvenience. If you've got a child in tow, don't even think about trying to enter this shop. A comment regarding the difficulty of negotiating the shop's narrow aisles (blocked with stock) is met not with an apology but with a bellowed 'It's delivery day!' Steer clear. Steer very clear.

They sell everything from dog collars and squeek toys to live food (such as worms!)
