Pet Mania is one of the biggest and probably the best equipped pet stores in Galway located right next to the Eye cinema in Wellpark retail centre. I bought my rabbit here, but they also sell hamsters, guinea pigs, birds, fish, mice and have pet supplies for almost every type of pet. However, the number and variety of pets they sell is quite small and limited compared to Pet World in Terryland especially for fish, and they don't seem to sell reptiles or snakes. The one huge negative factor I found was that the pets they sell are not very well taken care off. I saw one rabbit who was kept alone in a cage which was extremely dirty, and the rabbit itself was really overweight and looked so depressed. The other baby rabbits looked well taken care of, but this one looked neglected. They don't seem to restock very often as a lot of the time I find chunks of the shelves empty or certain things sold out like toys, but for pet food and treats I couldn't recommend it more. For dog owners, they have a full wash and grooming + trimming service which seems really handy, especially since the shop is located in a retail park with a cinema, 5 star hotel/ spa and hardware and computer stores where you could pass time. Overall, excellent for pet supplies, cages and fences, average for buying pets and friendly helpful staff. read more

I will NEVER GO to that place again for dog grooming!!! I had to book another groomer to sort out their mess!!! I asked for full shave 43kilos . They shaved the body and left the paws fully hairy.i have a dog with shaved back and full hairy front and back legs! I asked for nail clipping and of course it wasnt done. Uneven shaving all over her back and chest, hairs between paws not done either. Do not go! read more

A very big shop! They sell not only pet supplies, but also pets themselves, i.e. rabbits, hamsters, fish. A great range of supplies for dogs! Also quite wide choice of food and toys for birds and rodents. But as a cat owner I was a bit disappointed, because the cat department was really small compared the dog one.. as far as food is concerned the best dry food they have is Hills, the rest is not good at all (Whiskas, etc). The choice of toys is quite poor too. To sum up, a very good shop that would be a heaven for dog owners, less so for cat lovers! read more
