I didn't deal directly with Pet Cremation Services. The awesome staff at VCA Mountain Vista arranged for my 4 legged BFF's cremation with Pet Cremation Services and this is my timeline: 9/17/19 - My BFF passes away and heads to the "Rainbow Bridge" in Doggy heaven. 9/24/19 - My BFF is cremated. (I'm informed via the cremation certificate I received with the ashes) 9/26/19 - The vet offices leaves a voicemail that the ashes of my BFF is ready to be picked up. When I pick up the ashes, I'm blown away by everything I received from Pet Cremation Services. The ashes were placed in a nicely decorated tin container with the quotes "Until we meet again at the Rainbow Bridge" on the cover. I purchased an urn for the bff but this container can definitely work as the final urn. There was a sealed card with an inked paw print and fur. There was a clay paw print in a clear heart shaped plastic container with a sticker that read "Mia left paw prints on my heart" There was a condolences card with flowers and wildflower seeds that you can plant in memory of your pet. There were two letters with information on how to deal with the loss of your beloved pet and a certificate of when your pet was cremated. All these items were in a nice green velvet bag with "Until we meet again at the Rainbow Bridge" embroidered in gold. The mixed reviews on here were surprising but once again I didn't deal directly with the business so my experience was different. In the end, Pet Cremation Services performed their services ahead of schedule and they went beyond what I expected in terms of the remains I received of Mia. I literally thought I was just receiving a container with her remains. Wherever you decide to cremate your pet, I hope you have the experience I had with Pet Cremation Services. =) read more

They took care of my furbaby's well. They were very caring. Have used them several times.

Scott was so sympathetic to our loss. We took our fur baby to him on a Thrusday and by wednesday we had his ashes back. He returned his ashes to us in a small metal container and his paw print in a heart. The paw print wasn't very good, I was glad to have it anyway. Both wrapped in a velvet bag that said "Until we meet again at the Rainbow Bridge". It was snice to have someone take such good care of us and our furbaby. read more

I noticed the reviews are hit an miss here , but I just want to say my experience . I paid for this service at the vet office, I didn't know the company who was doing it or anything and honestly I couldn't stop crying and all I knew is I wanted my baby back in someway to help me grieve. There was a couple issues I had which were I didn't get a phone call when he was picked up which really broke my heart , I was told I would get a phone call and I never did . I did end up calling Sheri and talking to her on the phone , no she didn't say sorry she just said she was busy and had other dogs to pick up , then there was a issue with my card and that took a minute to solve . I would like to give them feedback and say they need to contact these grieving families right away and meet them with compassion, they are dealing with a lost one and these little things really matter. However here is why I gave them 4 stars . I was not expecting how much thought was put into giving me back Nemo's remains. it just shocked me by how much Sheri did pay attention to detail . I broke down in tears in the vets office when I opened it and saw that she put his paw print in clay, she took some of his fur with his paw print and put it together in a package. I mean overall the details of what was done really showed me where her compassion was and just warmed my heart . I'm not sure if she needs a reminder of why she got into the business in the first place , but overall what matters to me is what I have left of him and she made that extremely special for me . read more

I've used this company before to care for my pets remains, and they came out amazing. 6 years later, I unfortunately had to use them again. And I'm sad to say, it looks like hey half-assed my dogs pawprint memorial. I was very disappointed in the way it turned out. The pawprint looks disfigured, and the clay print has a few defects that you can tell were mistakes and were poorly covered up (multiple patches all over it). Were they only allowed one attempt? My dog deserved a better memorial than this.. I know Sheri does great work, but this was not it. :( read more

Such a horrible experience. Losing our dog was hard enough. This place showed no compassion not to mention arguing with me on the phone about the type of urn I wanted to put our dog in. When we got our dog the cloth smelled like smoke & we noticed they spelled everything wrong. Please do not go there for the after of your dog. Pick somewhere else. read more

I'm so very grateful to Sheri at Pet Cremation Services for all the compassion she has shown me for the animals I have had to put down over the years. I should have done this review a long time ago. I know first hand how much love she has in her heart for every creature on the planet. I have been to her home and seen her animals how much they love her and how much she loves them. It's never easy when we have to send one of our beloved pets to the Rainbow Bridge and when that time comes I want no one else to cremate my angel's than Sheri because I know in her heart and soul she grieves for every pet that comes her way. Oh there's other cremation services in town but it's a business to them. It's easy to talk comforting words to a stranger on the phone but your pet unless they go to her might just be $ in the bank. I have seen her eyes fill with tears when she has comforted me over the years. I'm so blessed to have had the opportunity to get to know her going way back to when she was a vet tech in Las Vegas and comforted me when I was distraught with my kitty who's kidneys had shut down even coming to my house to teach me how to give him fluids. It took me a couple of weeks before I was comfortable enough to do it myself she never complained. She is so gentle and the most important thing to her is saving a life if at all possible she will find a way. I don't know how anyone can say unkind things about her I don't get it! I do know that no matter what we do in life there are people who just aren't going to like us..... I can promise you that I'm not a family member and I'm not being compensated to leave this review I'm someone who is just very blessed to have met her and grateful she's been there to help me over the years when I've had to say goodbye to someone I've shared my life and heart with. Our Beauty Queen Beagle passed away at home, so I had to call and make her arrangements and we drove her out to the facility ourselves. Scott greeted us kindly and said he was expecting Betsy's arrival. He knew her name expressed compassion about her passing and was very respectful and gentle as I handed him my precious girl and I kissed her goodbye for the final time. We picked her ashes up today and again Scott was very compassionate. This is our 3rd dog to have used their services over the past 16 years, our first time handling the arrangements ourselves. Highly recommend the service. Sherri was clear and concise in answering my questions and setting the arrangements and Scott was just a kind man who was so respectful towards our girl, I knew he would take good care of her. When you lose a beloved pet, it is losing a family member. This service was an absolute nightmare from the beginning. Owner Sheri Allen should not be in any business that requires the slightest bit of compassion. She wrote our phone number down incorrectly and the nightmare began. My daughter called on numerous occasions, only receiving a call back after a almost a week. Ms Allen finally dispatched a driver who went to the wrong address the claimed no one was home. I was sitting here waiting for him, and the doorbell never rang! Ten minutes later, he was all the way on the other side of town? When I started to cry on the phone with Ms. Allen, she hung up on me. Giving her the benefit of the doubt that it was accidental, I called back and she hung up on me again. I am still waiting for my beloved pets ashes DO NOT even call these people! read more

Over the past 20 years, we have had six cats and a dog cremated and have always been satisfied with everything that was done by Pet Cremation Services in Pahrump, Nevada. Even when we questioned one of the cats hair as not being our cat, she invited us to come out to Pahrump. When we arrived, we were cordially greeted. They took the time to explain that the clear cover over the fur changed the color of the fur, and even took it apart to show us that it was our cats fur and put it back together again. No charge. No attitude. Just concern and understanding that we wanted to make sure we had our beloved Silky. They introduced us to some of her menagerie of critters and provided us the stories behind them. We have great respect for people that rescue animals and take care of them especially when the cost is the lack of their own comforts and well being. What they charge is extremely reasonable and you definitely get more than what you pay for with all the added sentiments. Her heart is full of compassion and anyone that loves animals and visits this place can see the home and yard are not what is important, but the caring for her animals and the caring of our animals when they are in her care. It has been years since we have lost a pet until yesterday. We lost our sweet Sammy and once again we are in need of her services. We called her after he passed and she made arrangements to pick him up today. I know that he will be in good hands until we can get his special urn. We await Sammy's arrival back into our home where he will remain with us. Thank you Sheri and the rest of your helpers for all you do for the critters of this world and beyond.
