Don't believe anything these people tell you!…read more I had a pest problem in my attic and was quoted over $4,000 for removal and clean up. I felt the company had me over a barrel because I wanted the pests removed asap. The salesperson promised that her team would address the issue right away. After signing a contract and paying Critter Control a deposit by credit card of over $3,000, the salesperson stopped responding to my texts and calls. I left repeated voicemails and called their central office and was finally able to get a couple of technicians to my home to address the problem i.e. keep the pests out. The two techs spent a little over an hour at my house. I was initially told that the techs would return one week later for clean-up. I was unable to get an appointment until three weeks out. When no one showed on the day of the appointment I again had to call, and I was told that the district manager had cancelled it due to a "mix-up" with no further explanation. Finally, several weeks after the initial visit, one tech returned and spent about 3 hours finishing the work. After that work was done, I noticed an additional charge for over $1,000 to my credit card. I was charged over $4,000 for a job that took a total of about 5 hours with no statements or explanation of the work that was done. Frankly, I feel ripped off and I would not recommend this company to anyone. The only positive thing I have to say is that Conner, their lead tech, is extremely conscientious and did an excellent job. The company is lucky to have him and I imagine he is the only reason they are able to stay in business in this area.
