Pescadores is a high quality seafood restaurant in a charming Victorian part of the city. The interior is cosy , contrasting the old brick of the building with modern elements.
The food is of a high standard, I ate the mixed seafood tapas, the highlight of which was the smoked prawns which were fabulous. The rest was good but relied on the freshness and quality of the seafood rather than the cooking but I was happy.
The cold smoked salmon with asparagus starter was delicious as was the apple pie (the name doesn't do it justice), lots of cinnamon and nicely caramelized.
The food can be quite expensive depending on what you choose but it was still a great find. read more
