I had a deeply disturbing experience with this therapist. Instead of fostering a healthy environment for family healing, she acted with a complete lack of professional boundaries. I discovered she was leaving private notes for my husband behind my back, effectively driving a wedge between us. When I confronted her about this, she not only denied it but resorted to name-calling.This is manipulative and the opposite of what family therapy should be. Avoid at all costs. read more

The so-called CEO of this organization wasted time in sessions with anecdotes about her life that were totally irrelevant and was not an objective or neutral or supportive therapist in the context of couples counseling. Even worse, she recommended antidepressants, and her own colleague who does the actual prescribing determined they were totally unnecessary. Avoid at all costs! read more

I did not give this business one star because they deserve -5. It's a great place to work during the first two months but then they will fire you for scheduling issues two months later. ???? This counseling agency is reporting the clients to DCFS making false accusations/using misinformation to start intense investigations -- in hopes of getting the clients to panic and seek more counseling with them in order to keep their children. Anything you say in the sessions will be misconstrued and will be used against you. After the reports are made this counseling agency calls from private numbers and badgers them to set up service appointment plans. It seems as though they are going to great lengths to keep their clients hostage and make money off of them. This agency is not helping people with mental health but further intensifying clients' mental health. They are crooked and they lie and twist words around. If you want cops showing up at your door and a dcf case , feel free to get services from them. If not I suggest you seek help elsewhere. This is not a place that can be trusted or where clients can feel safe. Just look at the other horrendous reviews here, Facebook, and google. The waterbury location is horrible. And shady. This agency deserves -0 stars but unfortunately, 0 is not an option. I am quite familiar with this agency, Perspectives Center For Care, Inc. Gosh, where do I begin with this review? There should be a 1-800# to call, a hotline you can call that will give you a list of all that is wrong with this agency. The so-called administrator/owner always claims that clients are borderline because they voice how they do not get calls regarding treatment and medication management. Clients are not dumb, they are familiar with comments made by owner. In counseling, we help clients learn to advocate for their care and needs. To process their traumas, and learn to move on with their lives. Why bother, when the owner, Amy K. , sees this as opposition, defiance from clients. Also, Amy K. hires and fires all of the time. If you go against her or even just give your true professional input while in supervision, as a clinician (which she can learn from others), you are out the door!!!! Amy had the opportunity to learn from the diverse group of counselors she had working at Perspectives in the past. Not she, she's above everyone!!!She's above the prescribers, she knows everything! There is absolutely no continuity of care, clients doing well she does not successfully allow clinicians to discharge because it's money lost (it's all about the money), (clients are not supposed to be in therapy forever). If insurance companies knew this, of wow, would they re-think about re-credentialing. Amy takes on more than she can chew. It's amazing how obvious she treats her clinicians and forcing them to be a part of studies that can get her into trouble. This agency should not be open, if you are looking for professional experience, keep looking for an agency that values you, what you bring to the table as a professional, and that can provide true colleague support and supervision. Clients, poor clients, deserve an agency that can give them 100% continuity of care as well as medication management AND get their calls returned-this will never happen). Clients get the run a round. It's an injustice. Shame on you, Amy, for all of the trouble you put clients and true, good professional counselors. I can go on and on, and on. Q1Even though we have only done tele health as I switched therapists during the pandemic due to an insurance change.I needed to find a therapist and also a psychiatrist.Perspwctibes provides both which has been convenient up until this month.I cannot get a call back regarding my prescriptions no matter how many times I call so maybe it is better.i am going to stay positive and if I get my prescriptions they will remain 5 stars so basically my therapist is 5 stars .The prescription end iam not so sure read more

Please do not go here. La Tasha is extremely disorganized. I spent $1000 in fees to cover services after mourning the loss of my mother. I had a deductible, but the provider billed my insurance company so late that my insurance company denied the claims. The $1000 should have been applied to my deductible. Additionally, they overcharged me as my insurance has pre-negotiated rates for services, but they charged me the private pay fees. They are unethical and take advantage of people, which is really unfortunate considering they are counselors. If I could give zero stars, I would. read more

If I could give a negative Star I would. So disgusted with this wanna be counselling facility. I had one meeting for my son with Andrea Brogh a counselor in the Waterbury facility and she is so inexperienced. She had took it upon herself to make accusations about my 7 year old and instead of calling me to discuss called Child services. I just cannot even believe the accusations. She obviously does not have any children and doesn't know what consoling looks like. My son was very nervous being the first appointment and of course wanted to be consoled, especially for anxiety....I am applaud. Disgusting accusations. So unprofessional, she obviously is a really sick person to make up such lies and should not be working with children for thinking the way she does. I plan on taking full action. read more

Very disappointing. My son began seeing a counselor here. About a month ago, the therapist stopped returning calls to schedule appointments. I called the office and learned that the therapist left the practice. We received no notification and most importantly no opportunity to attempt to maintain continuity. Calls to the practice administrator have gone unreturned. read more
