This place was really good! We came in with a large party to eat dinner. The inside of the restaurant was decorated quite well and had ample seating. We liked most of the dishes we ordered: Szechuan noodles, dal makhani, paneer tandoori, mango lassi, and paneer lababdar, the palak chole and veg kofta curry were okay..would prob not order those again. They did mess up our naan order but it was alright because it was still good! I'd go again. The waiters are kind.

Just so so My spouse and I went to a car dealership in Wesey Chapel, FL. Afterwards, we decided to have lunch in Wesley Chapel instead of waiting until we got home. At first, we went to Krate at the Grove in Wesley Chapel but nothing there really interested us. So, we went across the street to the mall area and found and Indian Restaurant called Persis Indian Grill. The restaurant was nice and clean inside. It was also quiet inside. There were few customers in the restaurant. The host pointed to the booth across from him meaning, "you can take that booth." He asked if wanted water, and we both said yes so he brought two bottles of water. He pointed to this little wood block on the table with a QR Code etched on it and said you'll need to use your phone to see the menu. What If I don't have a phone? Do you have a regular menu? The server arrived and I ordered chicken tandoori for my entree. He asked how spicy I wanted it, "mild, medium, hot or Indian Hot," I told him Indian Hot. My spouse even told him that I liked my food very very spicy. I also ordered Jeera Rice since there was no mention of rice served with the tandoori chicken in the menu. Not long after that, the food started arriving. My chicken tandoori arrived along with a cup of basmati rice with saffron. I kept looking at the rice thinking, I know how to cook jeera rice and it looks nothing like this rice. I ignored it and started to eat. I was excited to taste the Indian hot chicken tandoori. I took a bite of the tandoori chicken and rice. As I was chewing the chicken I kept waiting for the Indian hot to hit. I swallowed the food in my mouth and still no "Indian Hot" spice. I guess their Indian Hot is less than mile? As we were eating suddenly, they brought two dishes of what I would call Jeera rice. I guess they forgot to add in the menu that the dish was served with rice. I wouldn't have ordered the jeera rice. Meanwhile, I'm still waiting for the tandoori chicken's Indian Hot spice to hit. Nothing! The Chicken Tandoori really was not all that. It did not taste bad but it was just a mediocre flavor. My spouse ordered Butter Chicken and he said his was also just so, so. We are not new to Indian cuisine and I know Tandoori Chicken is a very common Indian dish served in the U.S. However, this dish was just bland. We did not finish our food so we brought them home. I don't know why. We're probably going to just throw them out. When I got home, I ate a little more of the Tandoori Chicken in hopes that the spice would come out. Still nothing! I was drinking unsweetened iced tea and finished the drink in my glass. The server never came around to see if I needed a refill. I even put my glass at the edge of the table in hopes he would see it as he checked on our table. Nope, he never checked. My spouse had to flag him down and raised my empty glass to signal refill and pointed to me. He finally came by to pickup my glass and refill it. Luckily, I still had that bottle of water because my food was not going down quite easily down my throat. I was disappointed with this whole experience because I was really craving good Indian flavor with a good kick for a spice. I would not go back to Persis Indian Grill. This is a chain restaurant which makes sense why the food and service was just so, so. I would not go back to this restaurant and certainly do not believe in giving it a second chance. It should have been correct the first time and not wait until someone writes up a review. There, that's my review.

I'm willing to say this is the best Indian place in the area. Amazing, creamy and rich chicken/shrimp masala. Keep in mind this is Indian food so ask for very mild if you're sensitive to spicy food! Service is very acceptable and although it's family owned, the ambiance is nice with a full bar!! 100% would come back.

This was our first visit here, and definitely won't be our last. The tandoori lamb chops were heavenly, and the restaurant had a really pretty Indian decor. The service was a little slow, but we didn't mind. The plastic water bottles were a little off putting but other than that, delish!

Got to try this place for dinner on a Saturday night, it has been open is he awake too? Did you drink your milk? for 1 week and was packed! Reservations only the day we went. Love the decor, booth seating, outdoor seating as well. Unique dishes, bullet naan is only for those that have a high spice tolerance, but all other dishes very mild, ordered medium. The cheese butter masala was very rich and creamy. Service was great, kitchen was slow but there were many large parties. Would definitely recommend to try this place!

The ambiance is modern and inviting. Service was okay not bad but not great. We tried the chicken Hakka noodles, chicken tikka masala, chicken fried rice and garlic naan. Everything was delicious and full of flavor. The protein was tender and melts in your mouth. The only thing I didn't really care for was the garlic naan, don't get me wrong it wasn't horrible. It just lacked the buttery garlic flavor. Would definitely recommend this place. Can't wait to try other dishes, just wished they had a better variety of drinks

It seems we were overcharged. Two entrees and bread doesn't add up to over $50. Chicken was overcooked. Unlikely to return.

We ordered the veggie curry, butter chicken, samosas (veggie) and garlic naan. About 15 minutes later our food was ready. It was served with rice also. We sat outside and ate. It was PLENTY of food for us to share and take some home for our second meal each. The flavor profile of the samosas was unreal! Just plain delicious and I loved that they were served on a bed of fresh sliced veggies. I actually added the veggies to my plate and ate along with my curry and chicken. Both entree dishes were tasty and made me want to not stop eating lol. Great place. Go support local and give this place some more 5 star reviews!!

Every place has a version of Butter chicken and this was better than a lot of places in the area. With it being mild it had no heat but it was for my son so figured I'd go easy till I knew the spice level. The Andhra was sooo good. I'm glad I did the medium I'm not sure I could have done anything more. The garlic naan was just average naan, not really garlicy at all. I look forward to trying item I've not had before

My wife and I order food from here every 4-6 weeks, getting the two for one butter chicken, and 1-2 Biryanis, and a garlic naan. The price might not seem great for those thinking (it would be including fees almost $76). The reason it's so good is this lasts us 4+ meals each! The Biryani has a bit of spice (even for a desi guy like myself) but, when you add in some raita, you're good to go! The biryani tastes like a warm hug, regardless of the season. The butter chicken "pops" in just the right ways, and is creamy (but not too creamy). The garlic naan is thin and crunchy (but soft). I did walk in twice, and the decor is as expected, but, the staff is also very warm. Don't get scared of the price, think of the quantities, and this might be your regular place soon.

Heartbreaking food shortages for wedding catering and poor management - Proceed with caution…read more We chose Flames Indian Cuisine for our multi-day Indian wedding based on the owner's personal assurance that because the restaurant was local, they could not run out of food. Unfortunately, the reality was a bride and groom's worst nightmare. The planning process was incredibly stressful. It took weeks to get a finalized menu or contract, and we weren't even able to settle the payment until the week before the event. Communication was consistently delayed. Despite paying for a 200-person guest count and having fewer guests than contracted, we ran out of food at nearly every event. This was witnessed by our guests, the venue staff, and our wedding planner. When we confronted the owner, he blamed our guests for "eating too much" rather than taking responsibility for under-preparing. He promised an internal investigation and a resolution within a month. It has now been three months, and despite numerous follow-ups, he has completely ignored our attempts to resolve this amicably. In Indian weddings, food is a pillar of the celebration. To have our guests waiting 10+ minutes for refills that never came was embarrassing and a clear breach of our contract. I would strongly advise any couple to look elsewhere if you want a caterer who is professional and honors their commitments.

We snagged a table on a bustling Thursday evening, and the warm welcome from the staff set the tone: attentive, genuine, and zero rush. The interior is cozy with that inviting aroma of tandoor smoke and simmering curries wafting everywhere, making it feel like a hidden gem in the heart of the city. We started with the Vegetable Platter--crispy samosas bursting with spiced potato and peas, pakoras that were light and addictive, and paneer tikka so tender and smoky from the clay oven. For mains, the Butter Chicken was pure bliss: creamy tomato gravy clinging to juicy tandoori chicken pieces, rich but not overwhelming. The Lamb Rogan Josh stole the show--aromatic with cinnamon, cardamom, and garam masala, the lamb melting in every bite with that slow-cooked depth. We added a side of Garlic Naan, fresh and pillowy with just the right blister and buttery garlic kick, plus some fluffy Basmati rice to soak it all up. Everything was perfectly spiced (we went moderate, but the server guided us flawlessly), portions were generous enough for leftovers, and the bill came in under $60 for two with apps, mains, and naan--total steal for this quality. No desserts listed, but honestly, we were too stuffed to care. If you're craving real-deal Indian--think Goan curries, Chettinad heat, or tandoori perfection--Flames is your spot.
