A lady fell and left in an ambulance. Slide height requirement was 48". My youngest was given a bracelet to show he had been checked and passed, but he was checked 2 more times and sent back down the stairs once. I don't really believe it was a safety thing as much as the exit pool depth so that was frustrating. There was also a lack of good signage. Several kids were turned away from the top of the slides because they were wearing vests. Signs on the stairs explained 3 lines but there were 4 slides.

Kids had a great time on high jump and lazy river. My only complaint is the height restriction for tube ride. The park has only two water slides that have a 48 inch height restriction. One slide was very fast and deserved the restriction, the other slide was a tube ride that would be fun for all ages. The guards would not let my 7 year old twins on the ride because they were a little under the 48 inches. All ages could jump off the high dive, which seemed more dangerous than the tube slide.

Concessions are reasonable with soda at $1 and not dogs, nachos, and pizza in the $2-$2.50 range. Lazy river could be larger, it would be better if it looped around the park rather than in a separate area. Life guards were inconsistent with some very attentive and others looking everywhere but the water.

There are also areas for littler kids, like the splash pad and pirate ship. Lastly, the concessions area is fairly affordable; you can get a whole pizza for $10, and popsicles for $1. But, there are some major issues, too. First, Cape Splash is expensive. My 2 yo cost $9. Most places don't even charge for kids that little. Our family of five cost $47 total. Woof. Second, cleanliness is the worst problem. At the base of the tall slides, sludge has accumulated. And there are rocks and debris at the bottom of almost everything. The locker rooms? Disgusting. One of my kids said he'd rather change in the car. Broken urinal, an inch of standing water in spots, etc. Overall, three stars. Would love to give more. But cost and cleanliness MUST improve.

Staff are rude and act like they can't be bothered to answer a question. Bathrooms are disgusting. This place is small...(if you've ever been to a hotel in Orlando....it's about the size of their hotel pools/resorts) BUT NOT NEARLY as clean, or well kept. Also, unruly kids running, throwing rocks, etc and the lifeguards do nothing. It's insane. The locals seem to love this place...but if you've ever been to ANY OTHER "waterpark" - you'd know it's seriously lacking. There is another one in St Genieve (almost an hour north) that is newer, cleaner, and better staff.

All of the lifeguards (and there were at least 5 for the small park) were attentive and courteous. We packed our own food so I don't have any input on the concessions but they appeared to have all of the basics. For the 3 of us it was $25 all total to get in. There was a place outside of the restrooms for washing one's hands and feet. However, there was no soap and no hot water. I feel that was rather unsanitary.
