The trails themselves follow a river, with a interstate on the other side. However the tree canopy and abundant foliage help give it a more secluded feel. There are soccer fields, tennis courts, playgrounds, and a skate park tucked back a little further from the entrance I use. I see other runners, walkers, bikers whenever I'm there for a run. The entrance to the park that I go to is a good half mile or more from where I usually stay, but it's always worth the effort.

There are usually many people at the park when the weather is nice. There also are many dogs, some of whom enjoy a dip in the water. The answer to this is being patient. Drive down and find the 'lower' parking lot, jump out and wander under the freeway overpass and that's when you go... 'holy cow, this is gorgeous!!' The lake is so pretty, the paths are well marked. This would be a go to spot during the fall color changes as the reflections off the lake would be pretty much what dreams are made of. Lots of space on walkway that goes all the way around the lake so you never feel crowded. Shows like 1.3miles but I'd guess closer to 2.0 miles but it's all pretty much flat and groomed. If you're ever in this area, plan a good walk with your significant other, put your phone in your pocket, hold their hands and just talk about how amazing your life is with them in it. And don't forget. Listen to what they have to say.

Park in either lot and walk around the building; it is not visible till you get all the way in back. Wooded, shady, with benches around, it is ideal for smaller children and anyone in a wheelchair. Lots of ramps and "bridges," many wheels and things to play with like tic tac toe boards, etc. A few slides and climbing areas. Baby K loved it, and when she fell, on the rubber "ground," she was fine and wanted to keep playing. A great playground, and with another nearby in the park, part of a 'two-fer' that we will surely be back to.

There is a shelter to take a picnic lunch and the kids enjoyed walking over the bridges. We did not take a path that went completely around the trail (unless we just didn't take the right path), so we turned around and backtracked toward the way we started. There's a large pond near the parking lot, a memorial located behind the municipal buildings and police department, and winding paved paths that take you around to all of the sights and sounds of the park. The parking lot is good sized and offers some EV charging stations.

We were worn out by the time we saw that.) The main playground by the shelter and the service building is big, with multiple areas, and is accessible for almost anyone- stairs on several sides, and a level access off to the right. There's a music machine, always popular. Lots of climbing stuff and slides. Some games. Musical areas, mazes, balancing stuff, and more. Shades on the top of most of it, though the slides can get hot. Also plenty of benches, though no shade for those. Dublin has a lot of good parks. This is right up there. Worth a detour if you have kids.

Went to Glick after a few weeks of rain, and it did not disappoint! Sure, this looks like forbidden…read morechocolate milk, but the absolute roar of the falling water, the height of the swollen river, and the sparkling foam atop the muddy waters were all worth seeing against the bluest sky we've seen in some time. There's a steep little path where you can walk down to a platform near the river and see the measurements for how high the water actually is. There's also some guard rails up top so you can get close to the dam and look down near some cute little benches and tables where you can enjoy your snacks. This is fun and peaceful little excursion you can do in as little as 10min or take your time enjoying.

You'll see O'Shaughnessy Dam, pumping tons of water from the Scioto River into the faucets of the fine people of Dublin and Columbus and surrounding Ohio areas. This is a really neat park. It's not a park-park, but more of a place with picnic benches and a big grassy area, where you can relax and enjoy the outdoors while looking and listening to the water fall in the dam. The ambient sound of the water is relaxing -- it's just so big and loud and repetitive. I could hang out and listen to it and stare at the water for hours. However, I only got to stay and listen to the water for a minute or two, because I had children with me. Children don't appreciate standing in one place and listening to water. What kids do appreciate is exploring, and so we set off to check out what else Glick Park & Overlook had to offer. If you feel like walking a bit, there's a dirt path that goes down to the base of the dam, which will give you an up-close look at the falling water. When we visited, there were two people fishing, so I'm thinking that this might be a good place to fish. There was also a sign that warns visitors that if they hear a siren, then they should GTFO and seek higher ground. So, like, maybe don't visit when the river is high? Or maybe just keep an ear out for a siren, just in case. The walk down to the base of the dam and back up again isn't too steep, but it could have some people huffing and puffing, so keep that in mind. The path was smooth and should be OK for strollers and wheelchairs. Parking was plentiful when we visited. There were lots of spaces, and the parking lot is conveniently located right by the picnic area.

You can access it via the street - though it's called Highgate, Highgate Ave actually turns into Masefield right around the section where you can find the entrance to the playground and trail access (it's labeled as Olentangy Bike Trail, HIghgate Entrance" on the signage). There's street parking available. The playground is very nice! It is good sized. There are swings (traditional and baby), a play area for little kids, and a play area for bigger kids. There's a fun little garden with a tiny walking path, and a large rock that's good for climbing and jumping. The spinny toy here works really well and kids who are big enough can do it themselves. There's a very interesting 'arch' like structure that it like an upside down see saw, as a kid can sit on each end. It also has hand holds that let them use it kind of like monkey bars or just hang. There are multiple slides, monkey bars, and lots of climbing structures. There is good shade around several benches and picnic tables nearby.

A great place for the neighborhood, a bit out of my way but we'll remember it if we're nearby.

As kids we also came for the playground and the library. I loved that my grandparent's lived close. Now, I come often for a variety of reasons. Of course, there's the library which is a favorite branch. I use the walking paths, and come for occasional free yoga at the gazebo. The casting pond has been renovated and is really beautiful.

This was my first time to visit the Park of Roses although my wife has been here several times in…read morethe past. We were here 4th week of June which means we missed the PEAK blossoms. Their website says that the peak time to visit in EARLY JUNE but our schedules didn't gibe with visiting in early June. Despite missing the PEAK, we were still able to see many gorgeous displays and blossoms. There are more differnt kinds of roses than I knew exisied. There is even a section devoted to HERTIAGE roses - that is roses cultivated BEFORE 1867 which, according to their literature was the birth of the era of today's roses. Whetstone Park is a huge park and the Park of Roses is just a part of the larger park. NOTE - there are no restrooms in the Park of Roses. There must be restrooms elsewhere in the park but they were not evident from the Park of Roses. This is well worth visiting and I'm going to mark my calendar to visit during EARLY JUNE next year.
