The answer to this is being patient. Drive down and find the 'lower' parking lot, jump out and wander under the freeway overpass and that's when you go... 'holy cow, this is gorgeous!!' The lake is so pretty, the paths are well marked. This would be a go to spot during the fall color changes as the reflections off the lake would be pretty much what dreams are made of. Lots of space on walkway that goes all the way around the lake so you never feel crowded. Shows like 1.3miles but I'd guess closer to 2.0 miles but it's all pretty much flat and groomed. If you're ever in this area, plan a good walk with your significant other, put your phone in your pocket, hold their hands and just talk about how amazing your life is with them in it. This is a cute neighborhood park with a small parking area available. It's also quite walkable from…read morethe nearby homes, with paved paths meeting up with the sidewalks. There is a basketball court, a play area for smaller kids, a larger play area with slides and climbing features, a set of traditional and toddler swings, and a neat little slide that meets up with a nice seating area with benches. There's a very nice water fountain that includes a bottle filling station. An interesting curiosity is a large stone-looking artificial ball near the playground. It appears to be some sort of climbing structure, and it was quite interesting to the kids to check out. It's a nice playground stop.

This is a beautiful park that has a very large grassy area, a shelter house with a few picnic tables and bathrooms. There are a few tennis courts, a nice section with old large trees that provide wonderful shade in the summer months. There is a nice play ground with slides, swings for the little ones and a few larger sets that the older ones can climb all over. The city keeps this park looking very nice. We love coming here and spending a few hours here every week.

This was my primary park of choice, since it's so close to home - and my kids and I have nick-named…read moreit "the train park" since it's right next to the tracks. Which is perfect, as when the train goes by, we run up as close as we can to watch it go by. It has a baseball diamond and a nice soccer field - so plenty of space to run around, and a nice wooded area that you can hide in for shade. The swings are also the "toddler/infant" swings, which my eldest is getting a little big for, but he can climb on top of every piece of equipment there as it is.

Nearby is a solar picnic pavilion that generates solar power and offers great shade and picnic tables to take a break from all of the fun. There's a large pond near the parking lot, a memorial located behind the municipal buildings and police department, and winding paved paths that take you around to all of the sights and sounds of the park. The parking lot is good sized and offers some EV charging stations.
