Room is clean and cool (it's July), and the bed is very comfortable. Also, Gail is super nice - highly recommended!

Brant Point is located on the top floor (3rd floor) of the Inn. The stairs leading to this room are VERY steep so please keep this in mind when booking. You will have to carry your bags too. The room itself is tastefully decorated and the bathroom is newly renovated. The view is good but not great. You can see the harbor but a few other homes & trees obstruct a lot of the view. The bathroom is fantastic! We loved the rain shower head and the LED mirror. It has ample room and plenty of storage. They provide an iron, ironing board and hairdryer in the room along with basic toiletries. Breakfast is served daily. You must sign up via text the evening before. They provide you with a link and you make your selections from there. You can take the tray back to your room, eat in the dining room or on the patio. Coffee, hot tea , water and fruit are available all day in the dining room. Fresh baked cookies are also put out in the late afternoon. The Inn is centrally located and all the shops and restaurants are within walking distance. We really enjoyed strolling the beautiful streets of Nantucket. It is also very close to the ferry and Whaling Museum. You can rent bikes and Jeeps near by too. We walked to Brandt Point lighthouse - it was not far at all. We enjoyed our time in Nantucket and would definitely recommend The Brass Lantern Inn. It was our first time staying at a bed and breakfast and we couldn't have been more pleased! The grounds are nice, the rooms are clean and well appointed! We highly recommend getting a Jeep to explore the whole island and all of the lighthouses! Madaket Beach was an amazing place to catch the beautiful sunset!

We also had access to the Breeze restaurant close by and easy walking access to the beaches near the harbor. The Carlise is immaculately clean and well decorated. It had a very comfortable living area and dining area as well as a gas firepit and plenty of seating outside. There were also places to safely store our bikes. Rooms are spacious, very pretty, and the bed was amazingly comfortable. The in-room wine refrigerator got plenty of use. The owner of the inn was very knowledgable and helpful, and also an accomplished woman and great conversationalist. We would definitely return to the Carlise.

Cute inn, great location! Must be able to go up lots of stairs to stay here…read more We enjoyed our stay at the inn and the fact that we chose a king room with our own spacious bathroom. It's very old and creaky, so I would definitely recommend a room on the top floor, although the stairs are tight so getting luggage up is tricky. The breakfast was a nice touch. Keurig coffee all-day. Cookies at night. Service was friendly and attentive. My one BIG complaint is the lack of blackout curtains. It was painful to be woken up with the sun every morning. They should offer masks, if they aren't going to add these.

Absolutely adored this quaint 8 room inn with two levels. Each level had their own common room. There were a couple seating arrangements outside, one which was a deck sitting area off the lower level and the other was a sitting garden/green space with nice Adirondacks chairs. The Inn Keeper Kara was fabulous. She made sure everyone was taken care of and had everything they needed for their stay as well as provided recommendations on where to go and things to do/see. It was my birthday getaway and she even went above and beyond and put a birthday sign over the fireplace with a nautical themed candy display of lobster gummies, etc. The house keeping staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. The owner Karen was there as well and we had a very nice conversation about her ownership of the inn and island itself. I would highly recommend this Inn to anyone and can't wait to come back in the future! Thank you, Sherburne Inn! Mackenzie

The breakfast was very nice and they had a lot of common rooms that were empty so we were able to access and enjoy. I will say, it is an older building and with that comes noise. I am a very sensitive sleeper and water in the pipes would run about once every hour and it was loud, even getting through my ear plugs. You can also hear all the guest noise, so if you're noise sensitive I would avoid. The room is more suited for a couple and there was not a lot of counter space (girls know why this would be an issue). Otherwise it was a very beautiful spot, great location, awesome staff and nice amenities, just be aware of the noise
