Bradley Mountain Farm

Bradley Mountain Farm

"You Hit the Wrong Note Billy Goat" (Bill Haley and the…read moreComets) Bradley Mountain Farm was more fun than a Barrel full of ............Goats! We signed up for a 1:00 "Barnard Buddies" session. For ten bucks, we reserved our own bench at the fence that pens in their goats, were given a bag of goat food (compressed hay pellets), and enjoyed a half hour of Goat Wackiness. The fun began when the other 1:00 groups were escorted to our benches by our Guide. We immediately saw the goat herd march to the fence and follow us as to our benches. Obviously, they been through this a zillion times and knew there was chow on the way. I asked out guide if the goats can eat all day and was told yes--of course because goats have 4 stomachs. Another odd feature of the goat's anatomy is their eyes -they have bizarrely rectangular pupils. Apparently, their vulnerability to predators caused their eyes to evolve. They have a broad line of sight, and those rectangular-shaped pupils lets them better see danger approaching. We were instructed to hold the food pellets in our outstretched hand and let the goats "kiss" it out of our hands. It was so interesting to see hoe different goats had personalities -some were super mellow, while others were super aggressive and literally shoved their goat brothers and sisters out of the way to be fed. We did see a few males really go at each other with violent head butts, but our guide said that was normal. Go and take your kiddies and maybe you can take the goats for a walk on a leash or buy some "cuddle time" or Goat Yoga or Dress the Baby Goats in pajamas. I kid you not. They have a lot of activity options.

This was ridiculously pricey. It cost so much just to make soap when we actually went to the pen to…read morelook at the goats. They there was no goats out there. I was so disappointed, and when I went to the back to see the goats there was literally no goats there at all so we finally went to the side that had goats, and then a dog randomly started barking at us. The lady walked out of the door and told us to leave this was an extremely disappointing experience. The supervisor was really rude. and overall it was way too pricey and just a waste of time I would not recommend.1star

The owner personally reached out to me within the hour willing to help us out. (On a sunday later in evening on top of it) We rented the "Crystal room" it was very clean, up to date and the staff was so friendly. Our funeral services ended up ending an hour sooner than we thought it was going to and the owner let us start arriving early. Such a great experience after a sad morning. I would recommend this Hall fo anyone looking to have a wonderfull experience. And will be booking with them in the future.

Contractual Breaches & Missing Items * Dessert Service Failure: epic failures! Banquet team started at the top of the cake cutting and serving to guests! Do they not know that the top is saved for the 1st anniversary! * Dessert and cake plates were explicitly included in the first paragraph of the contract. However, they were missing from the tables. When brought to the coordinator's (Denise) attention, the oversight was incorrectly dismissed as "not included." * Incorrect Table Settings: The tables lacked essential silverware for the guest count, and no napkins were provided on the tables. * Linen Discrepancy: While charged a dedicated fee for linens, this did not include standard linen napkins--an industry anomaly that was not clearly communicated.Table cloths were wrinkled too! * Exorbitant Paper/Plastic Fees: A $400 charge was assessed for dollar store paper and plastic plates, which did not align with the value or quality expected for a formal event in the contract that stated porcelain plates. Bar & Beverage Management * Severe Stock Deficiencies: The bar ran out of standard inventory (Coors Light) within the first 20 minutes of operation. Furthermore, the bar lacked basic mixers, offering only orange and cranberry juice, with no standard options like pineapple or grapefruit juice. * Inadequate Staffing and Speed: The event was severely understaffed with a single bartender. Because the bar was poorly stocked, the bartender frequently had to leave the station to retrieve inventory, creating excessively long lines and wait times for guests. * Product Quality: Beverages were notably watered down, representing poor value for the premium prices charged. This was not open bar. These beverages were paid for by the guests. * I paid $9 for a serving of Bailey's that was only about 2 inches in the bottom of the glass. I took 2 sips and left it on the table to dance. When I got back to the table it was gone. Table next to mine said the staff came and took all the plastic bar cups off the table. Facilities & Sanitation * Inadequate Restroom Capacity: The venue provided only a single operational ladies' restroom stall for a 90-guest event, causing unacceptable delays for guests. Especially when there was also another party going on in the venue and their guests also had to use the same bathroom with our guests! Unacceptable! * Poor Maintenance and Upkeep: The men's restroom completely lacked hand soap, and the electronic hand dryer was broken and physically detaching from the wall, presenting both a safety and hygiene issue. * All the mirrors in the place were dusty and filthy! * The floors are uneven throughout the venue and present a safety hazard especially for the elderly.
