    Ultimately had an okay experience sitting with the salon employee to learn more about makeup…read moreapplication/tips. There are some issues I'd like to express: - my appointment time was being "shared" with someone who was getting their hair done. While my schedule was flexible, it didn't feel like the best experience (and I'm sure the hair client might have felt the same way) - after 30 minutes of waiting patiently for my appointment to start, one of the first things that was jokingly said was "where are your lips? You need to get lip filler" - I didn't take it offensively at first but for someone who is already intimidated by the world of beauty, this didn't feel welcoming for me wanting to learn more and it wasn't the advice I'd come to the store to get. Instead, maybe products that help enhance the look of thinner lips instead of assuming I want to get injections? - shortly after that, once the first few products were applied, she let me know that my peach fuzz needed shaving. While I understand this could be beneficial for product optimization, this isn't something that I'm interested in doing and I think could've been approached in a more open-minded way. - I think the language barrier generally caused a lot of miscommunication, which I'm understanding of. After telling her that I was interested in a more natural/minimalist look because I like my freckles, they were completely covered up by concealer and foundation and she said "look, they're gone!" Although I walked away with some tricks and left a tip because this is her livelihood, I'm generally feeling frustrated with the way my appointment went and the inspo/outcome with products that didn't match skin tone/overall goals, customer service issues with multiple clients at once, and feeling like I didn't really get what I needed because the appointment was rushed. A lot of money spent for something that I could've learned online.
