Perfectly Made was the best choice for our hair and makeup! We got married during Hurricane Lala, so we had a lot of day-of changes that their team was so willing to help with. Faith and Ipo were so upbeat and positive even with the venue cancelling on us and helped us travel to a different location to get ready. They really made me and my bridal party comfortable and feel loved. I cannot stress enough how wonderful they are as people, I feel so grateful they were there with us! They did a beautiful job on our hair and makeup even with less time and still got us ready in time to go to our new venue! They are truly the best and I couldn't have asked for a better getting ready team! read more

I booked Perfectly Made in early 2023 for my 2025 wedding. I found them on IG and chose them for hair and makeup for my wedding. I had an initial call with Erika before I signed the contract and shared the concerns I had with my skin and hair to get recommendations. Leading up to the wedding day, they have an online platform to fill out details like the type of skin you have, hair type, and an option to include inspo photos for hair and makeup. They were always quick to respond via email and I thoroughly enjoyed my interaction leading up to the wedding. I requested 3 hair and makeup, 1 bride hair and makeup + trial session, and groom pampering. The services were expected to be completed between 9-12:30 pm. I had my hair and make up trial a few days before my wedding with Erika and it was a wonderful experience. I timed my trial and it took 1.5 hrs to do makeup then hair. I shared some changes I wanted for the wedding day after the fact via email and reminded them of the changes and feedback I shared during the wedding day. Fast forward to the wedding day. We drove over an hour with traffic to the venue, on my way there and received a call and text from Erika informing me that her hair stylist was running late. This is understandable, we are human and traffic is unpredictable so okay that's fine. They were expected to be set up at 8:45 am, with us arriving at 9 am. We all arrived at 9 am ready to go and make up started. However, hair was delayed and I could tell that they were getting stressed with the time. There were some comments made while I was getting ready that didn't sit right with me and I brushed it off at the time. After having a really good vibe during the trial, the wedding day felt off. I was also disappointed neither me nor my bridal party were informed they were leaving before doing touch ups and putting my veil in. I ran back after photos and they were gone :( After the fact, someone from my bridal party mentioned to me how they said they wished they spent more time on me and how they just ran out of time. They're definitely great at what they do and have tons of experience in the bridal industry. I think and hope I had an isolated experience. I shared my grievances with Erika after the wedding and appreciated her response and understanding. read more

Booked with PM for my wedding on June 20, 2024 and WOW! Did I have such an amazing experience. Starting with the consultation call with PM owner Erika, she was so friendly, helpful and answered all of my questions. She really took the time to listen to my expectations for hair and makeup and recommended Lisa Hollywood Waves and Ipo for makeup. I also booked a hair and makeup trial (with Lisa & Ipo) to ensure my vision was exactly as I imagined for the big day and to meet the stylists before the wedding too. Erika was very communicative and responsive for 6 months leading up to our wedding. She also helped me feel confident in the decisions we made and mentioned her goal for every wedding and for every bride is to make sure we feel beautiful and enjoy every aspect of getting ready. My experience was just that! Hair & MakeUp Trail & Wedding: Lisa and Ipo are such a wonderful team together. They are both so fun and hilarious, we laughed a lot together during the trial and on the big day. Lisa and Ipo really took their time to ask questions about how I wanted my makeup and hair while also getting to know me. It was such a delight. On the wedding day, Lisa, Ipo and a third hair stylist, Haunani were on time and did such an amazing job bringing my hair and makeup + my bridesmaids hair and makeup dreams come true. My hair and all of my bridesmaids hair looked just like the inspiration pictures we showed Lisa and Haunani - still amazed by both their talents. Ipo did all of our makeup (7 of us total) and my goodness were we flawless! Our makeup lasted all day! I also usually dont wear a ton of makeup and Ipo made sure to add a lot of coverage without it feeling or looking like it - really impressed. If you getting married in Oahu and are looking for professional hair & makeup stylists and supporting a local business, book with Erika and the wonderful Perfectly Made team. They will not disappoint and make you feel so beautiful. Thank you so so much Erika, Ipo, Lisa and Haunani for everything. I have such great memories leading up to, on my wedding day and love how beautiful all of us ladies look in the wedding pictures. Your services are worth every penny! Best, Candace read more

Faith did my hair and makeup for my wedding day and she did an absolutely FABULOUS job! She was so warm and funny, and really helped me feel calmer during a very stressful time. Faith took her time and talked me through different hair and makeup options. I did a trial run just a couple of days before the wedding, and I'm so glad I did. I feel like some HMUA would get upset if you ask for changes, but Faith was so receptive and professional when I told her about adjustments I would want for the day, and she really took it seriously and made sure that I was 100% happy with my wedding look. We made slight changes to the makeup and ended up doing a different hairstyle which was perfect. Ask for Faith, you won't be disappointed! She's seriously the BEST. She also takes care to set the right tone/vibe for the experience to make it more fun-- it is a celebration, after all! :D If I could go back and change something, it wouldn't be with my makeup or skin prep but my husband's-- after our "first kiss," my makeup "cracked" and we had to do a little emergency fixer-upper makeup before taking photos. It was a little stressful, but I sincerely don't believe it was the fault of my makeup or the artist-- I think she primed and set my makeup well. But I think the oil on my husband's skin was what ruined my makeup. So just a pro tip to any future brides reading: Have your fiancé blot his nose and T-zone before the ceremony and thank me later! ;) I worked with Erika and Ipo arranging the dates and what I wanted for my package and they were very kind and helpful. Book with this company for your wedding, you won't regret it. If I could go back and do it again, the only thing I would change would be to add services for my mom and other family to get their hair and makeup done with me, too, but it just wasn't in my budget nor would it fit into our wedding day timeline. The services here are pricey, but you WILL get professional quality in return. You get what you pay for, and I feel that this was money well spent so that I could look my best on my wedding day. I do admit, I wish that the trial was not as expensive as the wedding day as that doesn't really make sense to me since there's not the same "pressure," but I still felt the trial was worth the money spent at the same time. read more

My wedding day was my first time ever getting my hair and makeup professionally done. I have typical Asian hair that doesn't hold a curl well and I have combination skin that tends to get oily. Our venue in the windward side didn't have a getting ready room and we had a morning ceremony. We had to get a hotel room in town (AC is highly recommended to make sure that the hair and makeup set properly, especially with the heat of the styling tools) and wake up early enough for us to get hair and makeup done, get dressed, checkout, and get driven to the windward side. For hair and makeup for myself and two bridesmaids, that meant a 6:00 am start time (which means waking up at 5:00am or earlier). To my surprise, Erika and Ipo brought the energy, even at the crack of dawn! My friends and I are usually on the quieter side but we were all laughing so hard that I was worried that we would get a noise complaint from the hotel lol. They're both so naturally funny and have a great dynamic together. Definitely eased any nerves I would've had. Booking a full suite is expensive AF so I checked with them ahead of time and they said that the two-bedroom bungalow (there was a relatively small living room space) would work for them. It was a bit tight (they bring a big rolling cart with them with all of their supplies and need space to lay out all of their makeup and styling tools) but they made do and didn't complain. Regardless, I would double-check with them about what type of space/furniture (ex: bar stools) they require for the size of your party and make sure to plan to tell how the parking situation will work ahead of time. My hair ended up falling relatively flat by the start of our reception (ceremony and family/couple photos were outside in the humidity) but still had a nice wave to it, and my makeup still looked great! My bridesmaids' hair and makeup looked perfect throughout the day (I think because their hair is dyed, it holds curls better). I would definitely recommend Perfectly Made for your wedding day HMUA services! Will definitely post photos once our wedding photos come in! read more

Erika and her team were amazing! I remember when I was researching makeup artist for my wedding, I was specifically trying to find someone who was able to do makeup on tan skin tones. I was very happy with Erika's work. Erika is also so so so sweet! She is the perfect hype woman! We did a bridal trial, which was great. Erika was very open to my feedback and what I wanted, so for the actual wedding day everything was smooth and went according to plan. Erika also offered such good recommendations for makeup/hair. I was very happy with my makeup and it lasted for so long! I also have hormonal acne and pretty bad acne scars, which Erika was able to work with. My face looked flawless in the pictures. I also loved my hair and it stayed in place during the entirety of my wedding! Erika's team, Ipo and Luz were also amazing! They made my bridal party and moms look so beautiful! Special shoutout to Ipo. My sister's makeup was already done, but she decided to go for a more simple eye look when everyone's makeup was completed. Ipo was able to redo her eye makeup quickly and she was so patient with her. I highly recommend this team to everyone! They are my favorite vendors that I booked for my wedding. read more

I booked Perfectly Made for my engagement photos. They came by recommendation from the photographer I booked and from another make-up artist I inquired with. From initial inquiry to booking was quick and easy. Erika was very responsive to all my emails and questions, and even has the option for coming in studio vs directly to your location (which was very convenient.) Haunani did my hair in studio. I did a soft, neutral glam with a half-up, half down curl. I did opt-in for hair extension rental (do it!) which came out AMAZING. I will definitely use them again for my wedding day. :) Make the investment towards your hair/make-up. After all, you only get married once. :) read more

Erika and team were so wonderful to work with and I highly recommend her to any brides looking for HMU on Oahu!! I am from California and had a destination wedding in Koolina. Erika was recommended to me by my coordinator, Steph/Esselle Weddings and I couldn't be more happier with how my hair & makeup turned out. When I inquired about services, I mainly spoke with Ipo, who was super helpful and responsive in answering all of my questions. By the time I had my trial and HMU the morning of the wedding, I knew I was in good hands with Erika. We had a total of 13 girls and an early start at 7:30AM. Erika + her entire team arrived right on time. Throughout the morning she would check in with her team to see if everyone was good on time, needed help, or needed to adjust in order to stick to the timeline. She was amazing! We had some girls who also had sensitive skin, thick hair, etc. and her team listened to everyone's concerns/preferences, making sure everyone felt and looked beautiful. Erika is so kind, organized, efficient, attentive, and skilled as a HMU artist. She brought such a positive vibe to what can be a stressful morning for the bridal party. I knew I wanted a soft glam look but still wanted to look like myself and Erika was able to capture that exactly. She checked in with me to make sure everything looked how I wanted and my makeup lasted all night! (Our reception ended at 11:00PM). Thank you so much Erika + team, you guys are the best!!! read more

Erika made me feel so beautiful!! I am not used to wearing a lot of makeup so I am glad I did the trial so I had a day to get accustomed to wearing it! It's not everyday that I feel like a princess, I wanted to steal Erika and bring her home with me (I offered but Hawaii is better than Indiana). Erika and her team were so fun and energetic! (Even at 6 am!) Ipo and Lisa were amazing as well! All of my bridal crew loved their hair and makeup. They made sure that all the girls left happy with their looks and made any changes they wanted. The artists at Perfectly Made are so talented and just all around lovely ladies! 10/10 Photography credit- Shannon Sasaki read more

Perfectly Made - We went with a peachy fresh look for my wedding day - Makeup Artists Near Me

Oh my goodness, I can't emphasize enough how amazing the staff of Perfectly Made is. I had the privilege of Erika doing my wedding makeup and Faith doing my hair! Everything came out AMAAAAAAZING!!!! Makeup: I had 2 trials with Erika. I told her that I had oily skin, mainly my T-zone. So we tried different methods of foundation application to see what worked with my skin. I also tried different looks and Erika was very patient with me, making sure I was happy with my makeup. Also, I was never a lipstick person as I could never find a shade or type that looked good on me. Erika actually found a lipstick that matched well on my lips and that I felt comfortable with! Fast forward to my wedding day, I felt GORGEEEEOUS!!! I loved my look and I didn't even have to blot once. She used this amazing oiling sucking potion that prevented any grease from seeping through. Everything about my makeup was perfect and Erika was always so sweet to me. She definitely made my wedding experience enjoyable and kept me at ease. She knew I was a crier too so she stayed back for first looks with my hubby so she could do touch-ups. My photographer was very appreciative of that hahaha. I absolutely loved Erika and couldn't have been more grateful. Hair: I have the typical straight, thin, Asian hair that can't hold a curl.. and of course I wanted curls for my wedding. So I knew I needed extensions and Perfectly Made was one of the only vendors who both provided and styled it. But of course I couldn't make it easy for them cuz my hair isn't a typical black or brown color...so Erika color matched my hair and special ordered extensions that was a perfect match!!!! Faith did my hair on wedding day and she was awesome! So funny and nice. We talked the whole time. She cared to every attention to detail and made sure my hair was perfect!!! My curls kept through the whole night and when I took out the extensions, my natural hair was still curly! That's amazing!!!! She even did my husband's groom pampering and he loved her too. He looked so handsome without looking overdone. I'm so happy I chose Perfectly Made for my wedding and couldn't be more appreciative to them. They really made me feel beautiful and they're such loving people. I truly am blessed to have had them for my special day! read more

Erika and her team were the best glam squad a bride could ask for! Not only did they bring the best energy to the start of our wedding day, but also made sure everyone in my bridal party felt confident and beautiful. I had asked for a soft natural glam with a low, messy bun and LOVED how it turned out. Communication: When I first sent out an inquiry, Erika was glad to hop on a call to ensure that we'd be a great fit and immediately, I could tell that she had a very warm and caring personality. I also appreciated that the team was very quick to respond to my questions throughout the planning stage, making it easy for me to schedule our trial and chat through my vision. Commitment: The best thing about Erika was that she was committed to my vision. She made sure that I was truly happy with my hair and makeup by asking for feedback after my first trial. She made notes of things that I wanted to change and when I had noticed that the foundation wasn't clinging onto my skin, she was more than happy to do another trial to ensure we used the right products. I also decided to change my hair style so we were able to test that as well. On the day of my wedding, I even made some last minute changes and Erika was incredibly patient and accommodating with my indecision. She was reassuring throughout the whole morning and it really showed that she cared about how I felt. Erika worked her magic and made me feel so beautiful. I was so happy with how everything turned out and how it lasted throughout the whole day! read more

Although Erika was chosen by my wedding vendor, I am so glad she was. I was nervous to get make up done professionally again, I am half Korean and have an olive skin tone, a lot of makeup artist think I'm tan and always match me with orange foundation that is too dark, they also love the give that heavy Instagram makeup look. When I met Erika I told her that I loved Asian trend style makeup, glowing skin, tinted lips, big eyes with wispy lashes. She gave me exactly what I wanted, and even explained to me how I needed two different foundations in order too match my unique skin tone. She also did my hair, I explained I wanted a classy low bun because it would also match my Korean wedding dress I would be changing into later. I have shoulder length fine hair, and I have no idea how she was able to get it too look like a full low bun, she worked her magic and it looked amazing! Also just to say, I got married outside at Kualoa Ranch, it wasn't too hot of a day, but we were next to the beach where it was humid, and my makeup didn't move at all! I couldn't believe how new my makeup looked at the end of our ceremony, I didn't have to touch up or blot any of my skin oils! My makeup still looked perfect to go for a late dinner that night. Thank you Erika for making me feel beautiful on my wedding day! read more

After lots of back and forth immediate communication with multiple artists including Erika over HoneyBook, I finally decided to choose her for my hair, makeup, and full back tattoo cover up. She was kind enough to waive the early bird arrival fee and her costs were lower than others. My day-of wedding coordinator had worked with her once and said she was nice, even finishing her client's services early. That was the deciding point for me. However, after paying the $50 deposit on November 3, I inquired twice. It was so difficult to get in touch with Erika but I continued inquiring about my FaceTime Consultation, even asking about her availability to schedule a hair and makeup trial. I heard nothing until November 25. I started having second thoughts due to the lack of communication and on November 30 she sent me a message apologizing; stating that she didn't realize covering up my back tattoo would be beyond her (and her compressor's) capabilities and gave me 3 options. I chose to get my deposit refunded. I received my refund as stated and was, at the very least, grateful for her honesty. I also appreciated the fact that she didn't wait any longer to let me know. That way, I still had time to look for a professional to hire for my wedding day. read more

When I woke up on my wedding day and looked in the mirror, I saw acne, discolored skin, and a tired looking face. I was overwhelmed and didn't feel or look like the best version of myself. Erika and her team showed up with the positive energy and skillset to completely change the way I felt. Erika enhanced all of my features, and made me look like the BEST version of myself. My hair & makeup were both perfect! She fixed a couple of things that I didn't love after my hair & makeup trial (I would HIGHLY recommend a trial)! You can see the joy on my face in every picture taken, and I truly have never felt so beautiful. Ipo did the bridesmaids makeup, and everyone LOVED it, including my mother in law! Ipo was accommodating to the specific needs of each girl, and brought such a fun energy. Luz did everyone's hair, and truly is a master of that art... it was amazing to see what she could do! Hired Erika for my wedding on 8/18/18 and even though she had a few weddings already booked on the same date she did me a huge favor and accepted my request! I'm so pleased on how beautiful my hair and makeup turned out for my special day. Erika showed up prompt to the location we were getting ready at and quickly got busy. I had her do makeup for my sister (maid of honor), mom, and I. And hair for my sister and I. We were so pleased with the outcome. She was very attentive to all our requests and needs. She truly went above and beyond to meet our expectations with no stress and no complaints. Even with all the pressure of the next wedding party that she had to travel all the way across island to do she never let it affect her professionalism and character. A long overdue review for Erika! Erika was amazing with her quick responses and booking. I definitely would recommend her for your needs in Oahu from special events, wedding, photography session. I was able to book her early in the morning to reach to our shooting destination early in the morning before sunrise. We traveled from California to Oahu for a vacation, but decided we wanted our engagement photos completed too. Her prices were competitive and reasonable compare to others I seeked out on yelp. She was so sweet and also helped me put on my haiku after our makeup and hair session was complete. Definitely book Erika, you won't be dissapointed. Here are some of our photos. The only time I wear a full face of makeup is when we do family photos and that's typically once or twice a year which means I'm VERY particular about how I like my makeup and Erika did it perfectly (which explains her business name. ) Highlights *She responded to my inquiry via Yelp in a timely manner. *She was very friendly in her communication with me before our makeup/hair appt and it felt like I knew her when we met in person, our convo flowed so well as if we were already friends. *During the makeup and hair process she checks in with you and makes sure you're happy with it before moving on. My husband and I eloped in Oahu 2 weeks ago. Erika was my stylist and she was absolutely phenomenal! My hair came out better than I expected and my makeup looked flawless. Where do I start - it's worth noting that I did not know Erika upon booking her, but by the end felt like I had known her my whole life. Erika and her team are incredibly talented, kind, and the exact type of women you want with you on your wedding day. They will laugh with you, cry with you, all while making you look and feel like a million dollars. Erika and her team did my hair + makeup, mother of the bride hair + makeup, and 7 bridesmaids hair + makeup - not a small task by any means! I was so impressed her team was able to stick to the timeline even with last minute add ons. I had couple of women (myself included) who have never had their make up professionally done, and Erika made sure each of us were comfortable with what she was doing, and was incredibly helpful in making "look" decisions. The results were stunning - she held true to my vision and made it come to life. Erika is not only talented, but someone I was so happy to share this milestone with. I am someone who wears makeup on frequent basis but had absolutely no idea what I wanted for my wedding in all honesty and Erika guided me through it and made me look incredibly. It is honestly the most beautiful I've ever felt and I got so many compliments on how great my hair and makeup was. I cannot recommend her enough! The photos speak for themselves. read more

If you are looking for a whole package (hair & makeup), look no further! Erika and her team are incredible!!! I knew she would be a great fit for me when she actually took the time to get to know me. Before my trial, Erika and I spoke on the phone and she listened to what I envisioned my hair and makeup would be like. Living in California, it was a little scary to trust anyone for your special day. But I did a trial when we were in Hawaii for our engagement photoshoot last year and I loved my look! I just knew I had to have her for my wedding! I really appreciate that she takes any feedback and she is so open to anything! She reminds you that it's your day and she only wants to make you happy! I wanted a specific hairstyle and a few changes from the trial to my actual wedding day, and Erika did not disappoint! From the time that you meet her, she truly makes you feel like you've been friends for so long! If you want a real and talented person, she's the one! She is so talented at what she does, so professional, so funny (she will have you laughing so hard), so fun to work with, so beautiful, and so inspiring! My bridesmaids and sisters also got their hair and makeup done by Erika & her incredible team (Ipo, Lisa, Faith) on our wedding day! All the ladies were so happy & felt gorgeous! Thank you!!! So blessed to have met Erika. Not only did I gain a "go-to" hair and makeup when in Hawaii, but I also gained a friend. Mahalo, Erika! read more

I have had the absolute BEST experience with Erika! First let's start with that I love that she has her website setup to get specific's & talks to you about what you are wanting! My husband & I eloped but I didn't want the stress of trying to do my own hair & makeup. It was just that stress free with her! She's pretty quick with responding to emails, I even sent her pictures of what I was wanting & it helped the both of us. She made me feel absolutely gorgeous & she was so sweet, she even stayed & helped me get dress since no one else was around! If you need someone for hair or makeup she is definitely the girl to go to!!! read more
