I called into Messick roofing and the owner Grant had picked up the phone. I had informed him that I was looking for roofing estimates and he was able to set an appointment with me to come out the next day. Grant arrived on time and did a full inspection on the roof. He was able to provide me with an estimate right away and quoted me at $7900 for 2,100 sq ft of roof and that also included the installation of five attic vents. After getting four different estimates, Messick Roofing was by far the most reasonably priced. I had the pleasure of working with Paul Wallace and his crew. Very personable guy and extremely helpful of aiding me in picking out a new roof color. They arrived on time. They finished on time. They cleaned up all their mess. The craftsmanship was very well done. They took very good care of my property during the roofing process. The attention, communication, and care during the job was absolutely what you want from a roofing company. I cannot speak highly enough about this business. Paul was also very kind enough to bring over a pound of dear meat that he caught from his last hunting trip which was beyond over the top. We had a phenomenal experience with this company and will definitely be using them again in the future.

My experiences with previous roofing companies were discouraging - from lack of professionalism to outright laziness with one company not even thoroughly analyzing my issue, resulting not only in a quote that was almost 4 times as high as Messick's, but wouldn't have even fixed the problem. Grant responded to my request for a quote promptly and graciously - another stark contrast from the previous - and was able to assess and rectify my issue rapidly and affordably. I can't think of anything that I would ask this company to improve, only to keep doing what they're doing!

Buyer Beware - My Experience with Goldenrite Roofing and Construction…read more Our insurance agent recommended Goldenrite Roofing and Construction for a roof replacement project. On May 28, Blane Warner contacted us after receiving our phone number from our insurance agent. During that conversation, we explained that we wanted estimates for three roofing options: a metal roof, a high-impact shingle roof, and a composite roof. On June 9, Blane came to our property in Lawton, Oklahoma, to discuss our roofing needs. We have two separate two-story properties, one with a 12/12 pitch roof and the other with an 11/12 pitch roof and additional sloped sections. When he arrived, he parked in a neighboring church parking lot. He did not bring any roofing samples, swatches, or product information. I asked how he planned to measure the roofs since I did not see a ladder in his truck. He said he would inspect the roofs using a drone. While he was doing that, we took our dogs for a short walk around the property. When we returned, he was back at his truck and approached us with a Roofing Agreement Contract that he had already signed. The contract contained no pricing information and no estimates were attached. I asked whether he needed my email address so he could send the estimates. He handed me the contract, and I wrote my email address on it. At that point, he repeatedly insisted that we did not need estimates from other roofing companies, despite our insurance company's recommendation that we obtain multiple bids. When we explained that we were on a budget and wanted to compare prices before making a decision, he stated that we were "ill-informed" and "uneducated" about the process. We also explained that our insurance claim had already been settled and paid, and that we were not seeking any additional claim adjustments. He then told us that we were leaving money on the table and suggested he could obtain additional funds from the insurance company if we signed the agreement. We clearly stated that we would not sign a contract that contained no agreed-upon price and that we wanted to review written estimates and the full agreement before making any decision. Again, he responded by saying we were ill-informed and uneducated. The conversation became increasingly uncomfortable. He stated that he had more than 50 homes waiting for roofing work and that he could choose who he wanted to do business with. He then tore the contract in half. What concerned us most was the pressure to sign a contract before receiving any written estimate or pricing information. In our view, homeowners should never sign a contract that does not clearly state the agreed scope of work and price. We believe consumers should carefully review all terms, compare multiple estimates, and avoid signing incomplete agreements. This was our experience, and we encourage all homeowners to do their due diligence before entering into any roofing contract.

It's been over a year since you started work. You have an unfinished job at st Tulsa ok that you have been paid in full for but not completed. The roofing, windows, painting ,siding, driveway, back porch have all been contracted for and paid in full Without any disagreement from you. Your lack of communication, follow up and the overall time and quality of the work is not up to standards Of any professional business. We have filled paperwork to submit to the courthouse if we can't come to an agreement within the next 5 business days. Do you want to proceed through the court or finish your agreed to work?

Let me start by saying I am picky, a perfectionist, and cheap!!! And a DIY-er when possible. I had…read morea 30 square low slope residential, asphalt shingle tear off and re-roof job due to hail. I got hosed by the insurance company because it was a rental property so they took off depreciation. Needless to say but those "Professional" companies coming by with their fancy trucks were way out of my price range. Ridiculously so in hindsight. I must have gotten 10 bids on it. Then one day a young man drove up, shook my hand, looked me in the eye and said his name was Rigo. That's Rigo with a G. He walked around and looked at the roof for about 5 minutes. Then he told me the size of the job and was spot on. Didn't even go on top of the roof. Most other guys spent 20 minutes up there with their tape measures out calculating the size. Careful here, this in an area where some on the more unscrupulous people will try to gouge you a bit. There is an industry standard for 10% waste, but some of these guys were 15-20% over. There are some new Arial Roofing estimators out there, I highly recommend one($20-$30). Then he told me his price. I swear I started to look for q-tips because I thought there was something stuck in my ears. I became a little suspicious because the price was so good the quality must suspect but figured I was going to be here to monitor the work and under the circumstances with the insurance company I decided to to go with him. And there was something about him. After the job was done: THE ROOF LOOKS GREAT, COULDN'T BE HAPPIER!!! When I was driving home I was doing fist pumps in my car. He's licensed, fully insured, and an absolute pleasure to work with. He and his crew were polite, fast and very efficient. They got the job done in a little over a day, and that's winter hours with a late start. They had there own trailer, cleaned up and hauled everything off like they were never there. And not only does the roof look GREAT, but he also gives you a 5 year labor guarantee. However, the most impressive thing was the they fixed some areas that I didn't even ask them to. Of course the fixed the areas that reveal themselves after the tear-off and they should, and of course I paid for those unplanned materials, but he went so far as to add some flashing that had been originally left off by the previous owner, he repaired part of the soffit just because it needed it and at no extra cost. You could just tell he and his crew took pride in their work and I really, really appreciated it. 10 stars, if they had 20 I'd give 'em that! Great job, great price, great crew, great experience!!!
