I've continued to have my hair done by Kendra because I can come in with a rough idea of what I want done and it's always come out fantastic. I also had a slight snag with a gift card not working (it wasn't pulling up in their system, but I had the receipt that showed it was activated and the balance on the card), but Sue (the owner) was able to come up with a way to make it work.

Being a Medical Professional and having worked a position in an outpatient clinic where Billing was part of my duties, I know how to navigate insurance companies. Even when I explained to her that with my insurance, once the referral had been made, following the appointment and any procedure, she simply turns in the bill and the insurance reimburses, hence the term, "Fee for service". She was STILL CONFUSED. Now, to retaliate against me, they are attempting to send me to their clinic nearly 2 hours away. I'm contacting the insurance company first thing Monday to report this. It is unethical treatment of a patient and a violation of their insurance contract terms and agreement. It is not my fault that to put more money in the Drs pockets, they opt to hire ignorant, uneducated and uninformed employees.

After another 25 minutes went by I asked another girl at the office about how long the wait would be. She proceeded to tell me that "it is typical to wait an hour to be seen". She also tried to tell me that it is normal in specialty offices. Which honestly is not the truth at all. Since I have been to dermatologist offices just like theirs without that long of a wait or at least with the common curiosity to let their patients know when they are running behind. If you are constantly having an hour wait for your patients I would say it's safe to say you overbook your patients. Not cool. I rescheduled my appointment, but I think we may be checking out a new dermatologist in the area. Since posting on Facebook I have heard a lot of other people have had this same problem.
