As you walk in this restaurant you see a special fridge where the steaks are dry-ageing. This also restaurant also trains other restauranteurs how to utilise these fridges to best effect. Steaks have an extra level of finesse to their flavour, above the standard I've had from capital city restaurants with a higher price tag. Quality of surrounding menu and wine-list to match. Service similarly good; standard varying from person to person. Several dinning rooms, all having a relaxed atmosphere. Their breakfast was fairly typical fare but there can be an entire world of difference between 'eggs on toast' and 'eggs on toast'. All the ingredients and components were top notch and well presented resulting in amazing flavours. There was a whole lot of positivity and satisfaction around the breakfast table at the end, and very little conversation during the meal. They seem to have some competition so the way forward is to keep doing what they're doing and people will keep returning.

I'm all for individual expression, but I think the place could really benefit from a work uniform or even just a dress code - another notch that really works against this being some place special. A good spot for a casual drink of sauvignon blanc or cheap champagne, but definitely not somewhere I would recommend to visitors unless you were settling in for a full bottle.

The thing that I thought was really cool about this place is that they had some awesome, and rather unique, breakfast options, some of them even having an Asian feel to them.
