Most of my interactions are with Darlene, and she has been wonderful -- friendly, attentive, and always quick to keep me updated on anything that comes up. It's clear she genuinely cares about doing a good job. Eric, the owner, is equally professional and easy to work with, which really sets the tone for the whole company. I've seen mixed reviews, but my own experience has been nothing but excellent. I'm grateful for the consistent communication and the peace of mind they provide.

About a month after we moved my mom in, she fell and broke her hip and spent a couple of hours dragging herself to her phone because the safety beeper didn't work to call someone to her apartment. Then, the managers (long since gone and I don't know how many more they've gone through) tried to tell me it was my mother's fault. I didn't get their logic then and I don't now. Some on the food staff sexually harass the young girls as they "intern". That can't be fun for the girls. They "let" the residents be Activity Directors, without pay, because they can't retain actual Activity Directors. I don't know. If it were up to me, she'd have been out of there after they blamed her for breaking her hip, but it's NOT up to me. So, she's staying there and she likes it and has made friends and all that, but I can't help but keep coming back to the fact that there was a meth lab in my mom's apartment complex... it's disturbing..

Carrie Urban of Urban Designs is my go girl for all kitchen and bath design. We have remodeled two…read morekitchens this year and I have been very impressed with Carrie. She has a flair for design and I am thrilled with my new kitchens. She offers great design recommendations and while I wasn't sure how it would look in the beginning I love my new kitchen and baths- the finished product is better than I had hoped for. I have learned that when working with Carrie she knows best and I should just listen and opt for everything she says to do in the remodel. By the second kitchen remodel- I just told her to do what she thought was best when it came to the cabinetry. Better yet- my husband was happy because she really kept me on a budget. My husband plays with the soft close drawers that she put in- now my husband says " don't listen to my wife, Carrie- you just do what you would do in your own kitchen." He now wants soft close cabinet doors in all of the existing cabinets and doors. She really understands the functionality of a kitchen and changed our kitchen design of the appliances and made it so we have even more kitchen cabinet storage than what we had before. She added in a pantry and slide out drawers - I am astonished about how much storage we have. When shopping carpet I was surprised because her pricing and product was priced better than Home Depot for a more superior softer carpet. She helped me pick out wood flooring, carpet, tile, kitchen cabinets, granite, and kitchen backsplash. Carrie only works with the best- I love her granite installers. She referred me to the best custom cabinet guy William for my custom beetle kill pine cabinets. She even coordinated everything with our builder and supplied drawings of kitchen lighting sketches, backsplash and even the a drawing of location of knobs and handles on the cabinetry. She works very hard to give you the kitchen of your dreams and help make it affordable. She has access to numerous contacts for custom cabinets, granite, and great pricing on your materials. I love my granite and stacked stone backsplash in the Evergreen kitchen! I love the new distressed cabinets and slate backsplash in my mountain home. Let's face it- remodeling a kitchen can be stressful, with Carrie she makes it so much better and works wells with dates and deadlines. She helps ease the pain of the frustration when living in a torn apart kitchen. For all my remodeling needs - I will always think of Urban Designs first. I think she should expand her business for all home design elements- she has a talent and eye for design. If you are thinking of remodeling - call Urban Designs! I have been impressed and super pleased with the remodels in both homes this year. I think her slogan should be, " Carrie knows best" You know how you meet people doing what they should be doing in life? Well- Carrie is doing just that- she is a talented pro and passionate about her work that working with her is a great experience to have. I love Urban Designs!
