This really isn't one of the best shopping centres that I have visited, not that I tend to rate…read morethem all that highly anyway. The annoying thing about it is that you have to walk across a ton of carpark from the tram stop to actually get to the shopping centre, and there really isn't all that much here, other than a cinema and a couple of cafes. Well, the do have an Ikea, which is sort of unique where shopping centres are concerned.

Victoria gardens is personally my favourite shopping Centre! Unlike northland it is not so big that…read moreyou get lost and can't find your way around. And unlike northcote plaza it actually has useful shops. Victoria gardens has lots of clothes shops for example cotton on, kmart, tempt, jeans west etc it also has a very big food court and food for all your fussy family members. It has a cinema which always comes in handy when you have nothing to do. One of my favourite things about Victoria gardens is of course ikea, what would you do with out ikea oh yeah NOTHING!! The ikea in vic gardens is very big and it has a childcare program where you just say "take my kids while I shop at ikea" and then POOF kid free. Vic Gardens includes boost, pet shop, various 2 dollar shops, sushi, Coles, dimmocks, dick smith, bakers delight etc I believe that this shopping centre couldn't get any better

Paid a visit to my old stomping ground today. I like the Well, its in a great location and I do…read morelike having a few shops centralised within the building. I used to do all my grocery shopping and this place has everything I needed with Coles, the butcher and fruit shop all on the same level. Upstairs has a few shops but I'd much rather be on Burke road, parricularly if I'm looking for a gift or knick knacks for the house. Parking is a bit of a pain (and the pain increases on weekends), however given the location you can always find a different area to park and just walk.

The Well is a shopping centre tucked behind the Camberwell Shopping Precinct on Burke Road. It is a…read moremultilevel complex filled with a range of banks, chain stores and other outlets, 33 stores in all. It lacks personality and appears at odds with the surrounding shops. It is not large enough to be a really draw card in a suburb nestled between both Chadstone and Doncaster. I imagine many locals would find it a useful place to do all the shopping in one hit, especially if it's raining and they don't want to wander up and down Burke Street. The ground level is home to a fresh food a large Coles, butchers, bakeries, greengrocer, deli, liquor store and juice and sushi points. The first level houses a cafe, Dymocks and a range of retailers and services. The top level is home to Geneses Fitness and JB Hifi. I drop by The Well if I'n in the area and need a particular store, however I would much rather browse the Burke Road shops with friends before a movie. I find the parking garage poky and really it's just another local shopping centre suffering from a bit of an identity crisis.

HOT TIPS: Store…read moreHolder: TIP #1 Best to book within the week *check online the Camberwell Rotary market website & check for cancellations after 10.00pm on Thursday nights. TIP #2 Cancellations range from 1 or to potentially 7-8 each time, gives you a better gauge on how the weather will look on the Sunday morning before booking. TIP #3 Stalls are $50 a pop, you will need to be there by 6.00am to have your car parked and unloaded before 7.00am. TP #4 Bringing your car and parking within tour designated car park is the cheapest option, saves constantly moving your vehicle and paying for parking. TIP #5 There will be 'die hard' market goer's looking for bargain's as early as you arrive, so make sure everything is set out accordingly and also within you reach and sight. There will be thieves in operation! TIP #6 Despite how good the weather forecast appears, it will be freezing at 5.30am! Learnt the hard way the first time and rocked up in my gym gear, caught the flu with a temperature of 40 that lasted a week! Bring warm clothes. Food & Coffee runs are essential. TIP#7 When its time to pack up, make sure you are out of there by the designated time of 1.00pm. If you are seen to be selling after this time you will be banned for holding a store for a certain period of time. Happy Selling!

Established since 1976, the market only opens on Sunday mornings and the trick is to get there early because bargains go quick! The market is conducted by the Rotary Club of Balwyn (RCB) as a means of raising funds for a wide range of charities and has been responsible for raising nearly $9,000,000 for the community since its inception. Among the rows of 370 stalls, you'll find vintage memorabilia, vintage furniture and homeware. You'll get a nice selection of used clothing, records, art, lighting, books, fabrics, comics and even plants. Every Sunday is different with casual stall holders trecking to the venue with carloads or truckloads full of fabulous finds. After all, one man's junk is another man's treasure! My advice is to check the weather before you make a date and be prepared for either icy cold winds or warm, tropical weather. I've been there twice at different seasons and the experience and overall ambience was complete different. My Spring visit was unbelievably cold and I had to buy a scarf to stop from catching a cold. On the other hand, my autumn visit was lovely and warm and made shopping so much fun. Oh and dogs are welcome so bring your furry friend along for the ride. Ample parking available under the Safeway and Target shopping complex and has a two hour parking limit on Sunday mornings.
