Pentlarge law group has requested that I take down my Yelp review several times, I refuse to cave in & a bunch of attorneys don't scare me off. What Mr Robert Jurasick pulled was reckless and altered the course of people's lives, and ironically, I just happened to meet someone else on Yelp, who worked at Credit Union 1 who had to repossess his vehicle was back then. Small world. I'm glad that Pentlarge has found 3 people to write adoring reviews, but my review is an authentic experience and I saved my letter from Bob Jurasick, as proof of declining my case in 1997. I had noticed a bizarre 1 star review here and thought someone should really chime in. Alaska is known for people being total weirdos and for not using Yelp properly as well. Anywho, I was rear ended on the Seward Highway during "rush hour" while on my way to work. The two cars behind me, the tailgating d-bag and the offender that hit us both, were totaled. My Subaru broke a few clips on the rear bumper, best car ever, but that is another review entirely. I went to Pentlarge Law Group and had a wonderful experience. My case was scrutinized just like anyone else's. I understand how this works and I am totally fine with it. Thankfully, my case was one of those that had a decent chance of getting somewhere, and thats a lot to say for an accident and injury case in Alaska. I worked with Mr, Jurassek and he was very nice and very professional. He explained the good points and the bad points and gave me plenty of advice in case any of this happened again. I learned a lot from him and his associates and feel better equipped to handle another accident and/or injury should I ever encounter one again. The office staff was always helpful and professional as well and I never felt rushed or talked down to. Everyone there was great! I would recommend these guys over any of the weirdos you see on tv that have their clients hold up fatty checks. These guys are a little crazy and not everyone has a case like the fatty check people. Stick with a real law group with real lawyers that know what is going on and how to get you the best outcome. And DON"T WAIT TOO LONG! Jim pentlarge and Jonathan was helping through the whole process. These guys are knowledgeable and got me more then originally expected. They did all the work all i did was go to the dr's and they handle everything else. I was with another very respected lawyer before pentlarge and that guy said we can't really do anything after being in a bad accident. UPDATE: I wrote my original post earlier this year. Since then the resolution of our case had been held up due to court scheduling issues. Mr. Pentlarge and his paralegal Jon kept working to keep us updated on how our case was proceeding through the court system. Our case was very complex and took three years to get settled. Other lawyers may not have taken on such a challenging case. Jim Pentlarge took on our case not for a big "payout" but because a light needed to be shined into the darkness. I stand by everything in my original post. I just needed to share again our gratitude to the Pentlarge Law Group for everything they did to make our lives easier during a very tumultuous time. Excellent experience ... even though PLG didn't take my case. I knew that my case (neighbor's large Rottweiler attacking me in my yard) likely would be a "winner" for me, but was uncertain whether the potential damage award would be high enough to justify PLG's involvement. After the usual informational interview by the firm's paralegal, I had a 15-minute phone conversation with Jim Pentlarge, in which we reviewed my situation, discussed appropriate courses of action, and decided that it made little sense -- for either of us -- for PLG to take my case. At that point, Jim gave me a sufficiently-detailed "roadmap" of the best way for me to pursue the case, as a Small Claims action, and what to expect along the way. It was a very cordial and informative conversation which will, undoubtedly, save me time and frustration as I go forward with this.
