I…read morerarely heard from her and when we did discuss my case she recommended I concede to everything my ex-husband's lawyer suggested. After consulting with another lawyer I became aware of how much she didn't do for me. I should have dropped her and found another lawyer even if it meant paying another retainer bc I wouldn't have lost so much in my divorce. I never once received a monthly report of how my retainer was spent and when all was finished Ms. Dupuis had the audacity to send me a bill! If it weren't so terrible and me so sad by my colossal loss I would be angry and want to sue Ms. Dupuis for some kind of compensation. At this point I just want to forget,

The last lawyer I went to charged an obscene amount of money to set up a trust when all we really needed was a VERY SIMPLE WILL!!! She didn't tell hubby and I about trusts, didn't tell us what it meant or how to use it... she didn't tell us anything. She just took our money, drew up a trust and said that's it. Neither my husband nor I remember anything being notarized or anything - just a, "We'll take care of that part later." Curtis had a couple folks come in as witnesses, had us show IDs and the whole nine yards. The best part was the INFORMATION! He gave us lots of useful information and never made us feel rushed. He was so helpful I would give him five stars for that. The fact that his price was so reasonable makes me want to award more stars!!! I was able to apply what I learned and use that knowledge in my case. I was able to take what I learned and apply it by myself. If needing an attorney you're better off with another law firm or representing yourself. This was more of a waste of time and money than anything else. Don't be afraid to pursue what you want in the courts even if it sounds beyond reach. I was able to represent myself after time and get what I wanted. Took guts and a lot of determination to say I can do it better and on my own.
