First of all, the theatre is beautiful. We had seats with limited view. I wasn't able to see the front, left portion of the stage but it really didn't take away anything from the performance. The staff members were very helpful. They were plentiful and led everyone to their seats. The line and security went rather quickly. Everyone had an opportunity to use the toilet during the intermission and didn't miss a second. I loved how everything started on time...I say this because this never happens in the US haha. If you're ever in London, take a few hours and watch a show at this theatre. Extremely worth it and forever memorable.

The theater is right next to a major tube station making it really easy to get to. I purchased my tickets well in advance and sat in Circle G34 and 35. In my opinion, these are some of the best seats in the house because they are in the first row of the section but they are a two-seater. If you're coming as a couple, it feels like you have complete privacy with some of the best views. One thing to note is that the actors in the show all speak and sing with British accents. It wasn't something I thought about but for some shows, they speak in American accents, but not here. Someone had advised me that that bothered them, but it didn't make a difference to us! A great show in a great theater!

No joke, it may or may not be the best musical I have ever seen and I have watched Broadway shows, musicals that are on National Tour, the Muny (in St. Louis), etc. and this is the best one I've seen. I've always loved the songs from Wicked and never got the chance to see it until now and I have definitely been missing out. Bought tickets pretty close to the stage for around $50 at a half priced ticket booth in the West End. I looked online and they were all $100+ for the seats we got so I thought it was a pretty good deal. When we came, they initially sat us near the far right aisle but we soon moved closer to the center when we saw how many empty seats there were. Honestly the theater was more than half empty which is just so sad but good, I guess, for the guests so they can get a better seat. The musical itself was amazing. The performers were such great singers and actors, the ensemble were amazing dancers, and the set was absolutely mind-blowing. I think one of the most impressive parts was when the dragon on top of our heads on the stage began to move, I genuinely thought that was only for decoration sake. I won't spoil too much about the show, but I will say that the experience is absolutely amazing. The British accent actually works really well for this musical and I honestly cannot wait to come back to see it again. Never have I been inclined to buy a souvenir from a musical after I saw it, but I really did, it was absolutely amazing.

We had a fantastic tour guide who brought a ton of charisma and fun to his retelling of the history and stories behind The Globe. There is also a self-guided portion of the tour, with props and set pieces from some of the more modern productions which was very fun to see. Stop in the gift shop for a few souvenirs to cap off the experience.

Once they opened the concert space, they let the rest of the people who were outside waiting, in the venue. We immediately went to the bar and ordered some wine. We hung out there a while while we waited for the show to start. It was comfortable and a nice place to wait. The show space is very unique and had amazing sound. Even though we went in to the show space later, we could still see the stage really well. The Amazons were awesome and I'd definitely return to this venue.

OUTDOOR TERRACE Better still, we were able to consume said food outside, with beer. A concert venue with a terrace? Two words: hell yes! SCREENS The camera work during the concert was excellent and beamed up on two large screens which helped me to feel almost as if I were on the stage. ACOUSTICS You'll definitely get awesome aural at Roundhouse! SEATING I know, I know, all the kids are on the floor spilling drinks all over one another, jumping up and down, swapping spit and whatnot, but at this point in my life it is terrific to be able to take in a show from a seat with an incredible view! Like other theatres of its ilk, Finborough Theatre is small, with perhaps room for 50 people max in its space. I was impressed with the set design of the otherwise disappointing play we saw here. The seats however were really uncomfortable, encouraging numbness in all the wrong places. Add the surprisingly high prices of the play we saw (approx. £15 a ticket) and alas, for me the reality of the Finborough didn't live up to its promise.

The Park 90 was a very intimate space and the seating was in a u-shape with the stage in the middle so you were literally next to the actors, and could almost touch them! The setting and props worked really well in the small theatre for this play, The Glass Protege, tickets for the press night was £18 for a pre-drink, show and after party which was a fair price. Show is running until 9 May. Brilliant performances, a sharp script, and unique story, in a lovely fringe theatre. Recommended.

The Almeida is one of the best producing theatres in London. Some of their shows go to the West End…read moreand Broadway. They champion new work as well as bringing fresh perspectives to revivals. The space is very flexible and can be a proscenium, of thrust, or even in the round, whatever is best for that particular play. They don't shy away from controversial plays and musicals, so this is the place to go if you want to be challenged as well as entertained. Tip: When you book seats downstairs it may say restricted view. That's because this is an old venue with poles holding up the balcony. As you can see in the picture there small and in my experience they don't really get in the way. If that bothers you the seats upstairs are excellent.

It was exciting to see that the Almeida is still going strong, and perhaps entering an even more…read moreadventurous phase, when I returned here during a recent re-visit to London. I attended the theatre several times between 2004 and 2007, and the plays offered strong casts (Eileen Atkins and Imelda Staunton were probably the most notable names I saw live) but not especially challenging dramatic fare. This time around in early 2015, the theatre had been transformed into a would-be video game arcade for Mike Bartlett's provocative new play "Game". The audience was seated on specially constructed benches in a square area around the main "stage" (totally reconfigured into a would-be private living room) and voyeuristically urged to follow the plot of the show, which alternated between onstage and a live video feed that was broadcast simultaneously from different areas of the seats. This performance also pushed the boundaries of more traditional theatregoing in that it was offered twice in one night - a great way for the theatre to make some extra money and for the actors and technical staff to flex their muscles. It's clear that other recent Almeida productions have been more dramatically adventurous. Looking forward to keeping an eye on their future output!

They show a great selection of mainstream and arthouse films, as well as hosting regular film festivals and Q&A sessions with actors and directors. There is only one screen and no popcorn, as it is too messy! :P The screen is big and there are plenty of seats (plus a box which can be hired). I like that amongst the ads and trailers there is always a little trailer type thing for Kilburn and the Tricycle - as much as I love Kilburn, I gotta say, the trailer makes it look a lot nicer/sunnier/friendlier/generally amazing-er than it actually is... :) There are student/oap/local resident discounts available, so be sure to check if you are eligible for any money off! The cinema is housed in the basement of the Tricycle building, which also features a theatre, cafe/bar and art exhibitions. It's light and airy inside (although, there are also splashes of bright colours - such as shocking pink - on the walls), they have a good selection of food, and it's generally a comfortable place to hang out. Oh, and you can often spot a few celebs here, if you find that sort of thing exciting (I do). Watch out for special events in the cinema - for example, they screened Obama's inauguration, complete with all you can eat/drink free bud beer and pretzels (the big squishy ones), performances by a cheerleading troupe, AND everyone also got little american flags to wave! They also did a special dressy event when the Sex and The City movie came out, with free Cosmo cocktails and a Q&A session. Lastly, make sure you go to the toilet before you go in to watch your movie, as by the time you've sipped your FREE cup of tea, you will be bursting by the time the final credits roll...

This is the art gallery in the Tricycle Centre in Kilburn (there's also a cinema, theatre and dance…read morestudios in the Tricycle Centre). So the gallery is a small, nonprofit, charity funded space in this popular centre. Annually, they put on around ten exhibitions, selected through an open submissions procedure, by the resident curator. This means it showcases a lot of work from recent graduates and Artists just starting their professional career. All of the works shown are available to buy, so this is a great place to pick up a cheap work by an up and coming artist, and on the occasions I've visited there is always a collector or two perusing and spending money! Private Views are always fun, as Tricycle is such a platform for the arts the place has a fantastic buzz and you're compelled to have a look around. Also the gallery is right opposite the bar, which is handy if they run out of free beer! They also offer artists residencies, and are strong promoters of art in education and working closely with local schools and youth projects. I urge you to check out the gallery, i have seen some fantastic exhibitions here this year. And if you're an artist looking for a show, you should definitely try Tricycle.
