Stayed here in Summer '22 and I'm still thinking about it. The accommodations are lovely and furnished in a cozy, chic way that this happy American found to be just, well, disarmingly...French. The couple that owns the place is friendly and kind, and they went out of their way to give me recommendations for things to do while staying there. And yes, all of the guest-facing staff speak English in addition to French, and a few speak German as well (and perhaps other languages).
Breakfast is each morning in the kitchen and courtyard, served by the friendly staff who were also more than happy to give me personally tailored recommendations for activities. As I sat in on the balcony table overlooking the courtyard eating my pastries, yogurt, and egg, sipping my morning coffee, I wondered if I had really, truly, peaked.
The location, in my opinion, is excellent. It's a stone's throw from the central train station and walkable to the port. The particular street it sits on is not particularly beautiful, but the beautiful, serene courtyard makes up for it.
