My husband took us for supper last night to Pennydale for my birthday. There was 4 of us. I was reluctant to go as I haven't heard anything positive about it lately. We were the only people in the restaurant on a Saturday evening in December, now I know why. It was absolutely horrible. The food wasn't even Luke warm. The flavor of everything was terrible. How can absolutely everything be cold when we are the only people there! I told the waitress and all she said was she'd be sure to mention it to the kitchen. As I was driving to Edmonton, I came across this quaint restaurant in the downtown. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was wonderful. I always check the bathroom and was surprised how clean it was. Good was amazing with lots of choice. The lamb burger was awesome! They also serve a burger called the Kangroo Burger. Pennydale Junction is an excellent fine dining restaurant in Battleford. Delicious food, unique menus and well trained staff made this restaurant the number one restaurant in the Battlefords. I recommend everyone to visit Pennydale Junction at least once to experience the fine dinning food and the service. read more

Just good food. Got there just before closing and they let us sneak in. Had the veal and house salad. Reminded me of restaurants I had the good fortune to visit as a kid. Finished off with crème brûlée. Tasty old school quality. Great find! read more

5/6 excellent meals. 6th meal was ok. Beautiful ambiance. Stopped for supper with the kids as we were passing through. They enjoyed their meals, but this is more the type of place Hubby and I would be glad to put on our nice duds and have a slow meal, share a bottle of wine and try to find a conversation piece that didn't revolve around the kids. I would recommend this as a great place for a mature (10 years +) family dinner, a get together with friends or a romantic night out. read more
