Wow, my two teen girls and I spent two days on our recent Montreal trip at Urban Planet at Rockwood…read moreShopping Center (in TMR), as that store had everything and more in junior fashions (I.e., trendy and hip, and at incredible price points). Little did we know that this Stitches store, beside the Roots outlet, has the exact same merchandise (at the same price). I think the stores must have the same suppliers and use the same manufacturers. This site, though, is a lot closer to us, geographically, than Rockland. There are tons of tops and jeans and jeggings, sweatpants and hoodies, shoes and socks and scarfs - all for a steal. There was a good sized section for guys, too (lots of jeans and t-shirts and BB caps). The store is large but well organized and very clean, with well demarcated areas. And there were a lot of dressing rooms at the rear of the store. A LOT! Great place.

When you can buy your male or female teenager an outfit for $20 that makes them happy that month, do it. The store is large (way more product for girls than for boys), the staff has always been nice and it's a great way to pick up essentials like tank tops or tshirts or jeans for almost no money.

This store is ok! They have pretty good stock, though not as much as the downtown location but that…read moreis to be expected. However, I find the staff here pushy. Yesterday when I was there, the girl at the changing rooms pretty much ignored me but then when I was in line to pay, essentially grabbed the clothes out of my hand to tell the girl at the cash that the clothes were sold under her. I totally understand commission but if you're not going to be helpful then it's inappropriate to come and claim the sale afterwards. Overall, everything is pricey but high quality. I love their pants for work!

Pros: 1) Great…read morelocation (downtown). The store is quite large and spread out onto two floors. 2) Personally, I find the quality of the clothing to be excellent. I have items I bought years ago that still look great. Also, the fit of their clothing is great regardless of what your body shape is. Despite some of their clothing being dryclean only, I've washed things in the washer and had no problems. Don't blame me if you try this and it doesn't work out though - I will not be held personally responsible :) 3) They have a Petit section. 4) They have great sales (30-40% off) on a regular basis. If you've signed up for their emails, you'll be notified every time they've got something going on. This makes up for the steep prices. Cons: 5) I find most of the staff to be indifferent and a little stuck up. I'm sorry, but just because you work for Banana Republic does not make you king or queen of said republic. 6) Much of their clientele (excluding ME, of course) have major superiority complexes. The women tend to walk about with holier than though attitudes and expressions of disdain or a look that seems to say "I'm so much better than you." I hate that crap but tolerate it when I want to shop. If you want to avoid the highfalutin, you can always shop online - you can return pretty much anything in-store.
