If you are searching for help with a brain injury or anything else AVOID BHNW. Initially I was…read moreencouraged as they said they could help me based on my Qeeg and other tests. They agreed to treat me and to do follow up evaluations and treatment. I told them from the beginning that I was self-referred, that there was a lawsuit pending related to my injury and that my lawyers would likely contact them at some point for my records. Once my lawyers contacted them for my records they abandoned me as their "client" and would not talk to me about anything or coordinate my treatment with local neurofeedback practitioners as they had done previously. I responded in letters complaining and when they responded back they charged me for the time it took them to respond. This was after they told me they "closed out services from the entire firm." After this they created a second report (charged me for it) that contradicted the first report that we were using as a treatment guide. They refused to talk to me about it and told me that my local provider had to take over. My referring provider is a DO and she does not have the skillset to take over. My local neurofeedback provider (LMHC) also does not have the skillset to move forward with evaluation and treatment without BHNWs direction. They both feel that BHNW threw them under the bus. No one should be treated this way. I was abandoned mid treatment (patient abandonment) and was given a second treatment plan that contradicted the one we were working from (medical malpractice). They had zero compassion for my TBI symptoms and what the impact would be when they abandoned me. BHNW is morally and ethically corrupt. Stay clear of this place. She has engaged in an extramarital affair with a married person. Participating in an affair undermines the moral and ethical foundation required to advise others in a clinical setting that deals with marriage counseling among a myriad of other issues. While I understand that personal lives and professional lives are different, one must wonder if that moral boundary can bleed into her professional work as extramarital relationships may harbor personal blind spots or rationalizations about infidelity. It stands to reason that it can render her ineffective as a therapist as it makes it difficult to remain truly objective. Additionally, it stands to reason that a therapist in upper management can be participate in the hiring of individuals and her personal life mismanagement/judgment can be skewed as well. That's a fairly large risk within the mental health field.

Exactly 8 years ago today at 5 am, I entered Swedish Hospital in Seattle to undergo brain surgery…read morefor Chiari Malformation. It was the single most petrifying thing I have ever done in my life. I entered the hospital with the following symptoms that thousands of people around the world also have, but cannot find doctors to give them answers for because most doctors are not trained in Chiari. My symptoms were... a chronic cough that made my head feel like someone had shot a gun through it at point blank lasting about 30 seconds each time; with each cough also came an electrical zapping that felt like bolts of lightning or a taser shooting out the top of my head and fingers and toes; I had complete dizziness that never stopped, causing it to be hard to think, see, concentrate, walk, shower, cook, shop, drive, fall asleep, pretty much do anything; upper and lower extremities would constantly fall asleep randomly; I would choke on nothing without warning, and also while eating and drinking without warning, my swallowing function would randomly just stop; I also felt like I had a golf ball in my throat even though a scope said I was fine; my vision was off; my gait felt choppy and uncoordinated, my memory was non-existent; I was unable to think of words when talking; I would say sentences that didn't make sense... And more! Thankfully God led me to a surgeon who was up to date on the latest Chiari research and she knew about all my symptoms and what my imaging meant. I will be forever grateful to Dr Jayashree Srinivasen, because I was on the very edge and she saved my life. Two weeks after my surgery, the lightening bolts and the gunshot head pain just disappeared. Many of the other symptoms continued to disappear over time. It has taken a long time to heal. At about 4 to 5 years post op, I stopped improving, but I am extremely grateful for as far as I have come in this journey. Thank you to those who have read this far. And thank you for my friends and family who have carried me through this. You know who you are and you are priceless to me. God bless you for being there for me! And I love all of you! Praying the surgery continues to hold and I never need a second one! Happy Zipperversary to Me! Lol Tammi Davie, 6/30/24

The administrative staff is less than desirable . Not very friendly and does not call you back. Waited two weeks to get phone call for scheduling my injection. However when I called them to find out when I could schedule my injection, they said that the approval from my insurance still has not come back. I called my insurance immediately and they said that they had just received the request for the procedure within minutes after I got off the phone with the spine center. My insurance said that they would process this claim and get it back to them promptly. I then had to call back the spine center a week later to find out when I could come in for my injection. I was then scheduled for my injection a week later. They are not on top of their paperwork and procedures at all in the front office. Nor do they take responsibility when they have made a mistake. I would suggest that if you use this center, be proactive in scheduling your appointments and be proactive with your insurance so that you get the care that you deserve because the doctor is a great doctor.
